Actualyl being from Seattle i know that coffee is to be server burning hot. Part of the ritual of coffee is adding whatever you want to while it cools down to YOUR desired warmth. Everyone likes it a different temp and you can get it hotter once you get it to if you go to a REAL cafe it is HOT. I doubt anyone gulps it right away but i also assume they dont spill it on themselves.

Ok i am the LAST person to try to get rid of Microsoft. I run Linux because Windows can't/won't do what i need it to. Windows isn't a bad OS and i never said that. If windows was truly "bad" noboduy would use it and there would be a massive migration to Linux. I have solved MANY computer problems for many people involving windows AND linux and personally i think Windows is what many people need but im not one of them. Being a person who doesn't need to run any specific windows only programs for work its not an issue to use linux with winex and get everything done i need.

look with ANY ISP you need to get it all in writing... i have speakeasy and i am VERY happy with it and i also have got all my freind setup on it and nobody every has a problem... switching is always a bitch but you obviously had one of the rare incidences with speakeasy... they are awsomre and they just sent me my geforce 4 that i forgot to ask for 6 months ago and it arrived in half the time they said it would take...
speakeasy charges early cancel rates if oyu sign a 12 or 24 months contract... sorry but it costsa money to move... if your new dsl is speakeasy then they wont charge you that canceling charge...

one thing that covad can do is change the type of service... some crappy lines are good enough for different types of (usually) more expensive dsl connections... overall covad is very good and i am very pleased with my covad/speakeasy dsl... but im am kind of lucky because my line length is jsut a few feet as the local dsl curcuit is next door:)... but dont slam covad for not having mroe control than they possibly can...
I dont know if this is a troll but i sure hope not. I think this is true that Bill Gates is the reason for a lot opf the growth of free software. Microsoft's crappy quality is about 80% of the reason for my switch to Linux. Once i started learning about free software i stuck with it more but really its MS that pushed me over the "hump" of switching away from windows.
your right that this is used for stationary trargets... most likely this would be used to protect buildings and other large slow objects (tanks, boats, maybe landing strips) from being seem from far away... of course this wont work up close but think of this... you have alanding strip that is invisible at a total of 90 degress... from straight up and 45 degrees on either side it cant be seem... satallite photo's would not be able to detect it but planes coming in for a landing would have no trouble finding the markings to land...

Ill admit that my one of my home machines (win2k not my linux boxes of course;)) was rooted a while ago. The attacked took control while i was on vacation and sent spam out. Speakeasy immediatly shut down ALL internet access after spam was detected. I am glad they did it. I got home took down the box called them and everything was fine. If everyone was on Speakeasy then THERE WOULD BE NO SPAM. So if you really want a responsible ISP start with yourself and go with Speakeasy.

They were able to hold onto the naming rights which they sold to pay off the small amount they were required to contribute to the fund. Its sick to think that I payed for a stadium (now Safeco Field, thanks Safeco for bailing the rich owners out of their not fair share) that i dont have any control over. The reason this article is titled "Bark or Bite?" is because it has to do with overblown fears. If you read into it about that dam "hack" was that it was NOT some 12 year old at the controls and was in fact a 27 year old who had no real control over the gates.

It makes perfect sense that they would at least build it for x86 so if anything wasn't compatable they would know about it.
