"Limited time" to mortal beings is usually a fraction of one's life. Extending it beyond one's life would be more "unlimited" as far as personal time goes.
It may help if you understood what being able to burn a CD meant. It generally implies that the CD is burned using a method which allows said CD to be played back in (nearly all) CD players, such as, but not limited to Home Entertainment Devices, Car Stereos, Walkman CD players, etc.
Last I checked, using a CD that is playable, one could (re-)rip the audio into the format of his/her choice. Granted, it has some loss at that point, but I think that solves some compatability problems.
If I can find difficult to locate tracks, I'll look into this service. I'm not above paying for my music.
Well, in my household, I will generally only update the secondary computers every month, give or take. More critical patches, I'll update immediately. I do not really consider these updates as bashing, per se, but rather a boon for me.
I seem to remember a poll that indicated that a significant portion of the/. crowd used or otherwise had installed Windows on at least one machine. I can't see how this woudl be totally irrelevant.
I can, however, see that the updates are quite one-sided. Is it, perhaps, that less people submit the linux related bugs? or that the editors choose to publish more Microsoft-related ones? I think only they know for sure. Either way, people benefit.
Considering that they're using some bacteria that causes burning/itching in the crotch, I suppose that creating this new life from 'scratch' was more of a play on words?
Who knew they had advanced so far in subtle humor?:)
I believe the answer to your question, in my case, is multiplayer games. Online multiplayer games, to be exact. Even though they may have idiots and 'elite hax0rs' on them, they consistently offer unusual experiences. Playing against a set pool of friends has a tendancy to stagnate. Try playing your latest Street Fighter remake against a few friends, over and over. same basic gameplay occurs after awile. Play against someone else, and you might see something new that would assist you improving your game.
bleeding edge graphics and the right to say 'my 1324fps is greater than you! eat it' might be a close second:)
I'm not quite certain that Super Mario ever really engaged my brain until it performed on the SNES. Up until then, it was just "get past the stupid turtles to jump on the flagpole":-)
I wonder how long this has been going on. Both companies would probably have made a 'killing' when the September 11th fund was on Amazon.com if this bit of theftware was included at the time.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doens't 2.6 Billion (music) files downloaded per month seem exorbitantly high? I mean, assuming 3Mb per file (average length, 128-bit encoding) that's around 7,800 Tb just on music alone. Seems a tad high to me, but then again, I can't remember the average bandwidth consumption for the world per month.
Interesting that the numbers never include the people that just utilize their cable connection for e-mail and casual (read: non-intensive/flash/etc) internet usage. I'm willing to bet it is a fairly high figure; which indicates that the 1% using the 16% isn't nearly as bad as they are making this out to be.

I would think it to be more of an eX-Windows at that point. :)
Whoa, wait a minute here. Hello Kitty? I'm sold!

I'm pretty sure I have received a more expensive, crummier service since last Nov.-Dec.
Mergers/takeovers suck.
Two words:
no soap.
Colleen Kollar-Kotelly = CKK
Funny you mention Libraries.
Mine allows us to borrow (check out) CDs. If they don't have what I'm looking for, they can most likely order it. Isn't that delicious?

Platformers are sorely missed.
...or does the author of the descriptive post for this article sound like the guy in this strip
If I were him, I'd be more thankful that MicroSoft patches holes, since they still do have a rather large presence, after all.

Makes one wonder.
