    I can't see it not happening eventually. The Republicans want it and the Democrats want it. Republicans because the people that donate to their party want cheap labor and the Democrats because everyone that migrates here from South of the border is eventually going to be a Democratic voter. The only thing holding the Republicans back is the people that actually vote in the elections will vote them out. They'll find a way though.

    The problem is the people themselves. They all want something from the government and the people in power know this. They buy us with our own tax money and people just don't get it.

    The simple fact is that Eric Cantor signed on to support immigration reform and that killed his career. Dead. It sent a message to the Republicans that just because their corporate masters want open boarders doesn't mean the voters do.

    How about pay raises. It's a crime what they pay police officers. They practically guarantee corruption. I don't see how those guys live on what they pay which explains why they're always moonlighting at 2nd and 3rd jobs.

    He could most likely see the danger of Ford/Chevy/Nissan/Toyota and all the other big boys getting together to design their own and then charging fees to the small companies like Tesla to use it too. I'm surprised no one has jumped to lock out the small fry yet.

    It may be smart in other ways. If it becomes the standard then it means that he doesn't eventually get stuck using someone else's standards (maybe one of the big automakers) and have to pay fee's to use their patented design. Once electric cars catch on these stations will be everywhere.

    I don't think it'd be that much of a problem. When you're rolling no snow accumulates on top. Opening doors in a driving rain or snow will cause problems regardless of type of door although it'll be worse with a gull wing. The whole point of gull wing is coolness over practicality anyway. If people want to be practical they can get a mini-van.

    It's a farce regardless. If they're going to do this kind of stuff they might just as well "eliminate him with extreme prejudice." Instead of pretending to be fair about it. Sure their are some guys, like Bin Laden, who kill a bunch of people and threaten to kill more and brag about it publicly. Offing them is seen as a public service. Taking some guys who we never know their names or what they did? That's a whole different thing entirely.

    I'm fine with having religious iconography removed from public buildings. "In God We Trust" hasn't been true for decades. It's a blatant lie and should come down. "The Ten Commandments" as well. Respect for elders, don't steal, NO ADULTRY??? these are fast becoming national past times. It's a joke and an offense to have them up. I, as a Christian, fully support their removal from all public buildings. In fact, given the current makeup of most legislative bodies in this country, I think the satanist statue might be appropriate.

    It's because when dicrimination can't be proven there is a drive to "equalize" things. We must diversify even if it means hiring candidates who are not qualified. Google knows it's coming and there's nothing they can do to stop it.
