I'm constantly having to manually bring up a google search page because on every third or fourth thing I search Bing doesn't cut it. It's limited in certain democracies as they have to work around Constitutional Laws designed to limit government power. Even so they keep gradually taking an inch here and there as they can, constantly pushing the limits.
What really tells the tale is that they don't even want the prosecutors to know about it. That means it's probably not even legal at all as most prosecutors, as officers of the court, have enough integrity to avoid outright illegal actions.
I've had projects at work that I felt passionately about. I would think about and study up on things I was working on trying to get ideas or troubleshoot. I actually miss that feeling but they brought in a new "lean" system and now I could care less. I think management has to build an environement to foster that kind of feeling and most of the time they actually stamp it out.
