I think the Dolphins already found that one and are keeping it hidden away. Just in case they don't get their fish bonus. The navy better not hold out on them.
They're lucky they didn't take the entire data center and auction it off after they were done with it. Keep fucking with them and see what happens next.
He can't understand why you don't trust the government. After all, they just want to help keep us all safe. That nasty old Constitution just keeps getting in the way of them doing their job.
It's not about Republican versus Democrat. Everywhere it counts they are the same. When it comes to fucking over the country they are bipartisan. They differ only on peripheral issues that, while important to the public, are irrelevant to the things which really matter to those who rule. Things like abortion, religion, racism, affirmative action, and gay marriage are just hot button issues used to divide the public so that the elite can rule us better. As long as we're hating each other over things that don't matter to our rulers then it's all good. You can give up though, it's hopeless. Every single time I pointed out how bad GW Bush was all any of his supporters had to say was "he's not as bad as those evil Democrats" and when I point out the fallacies of the Obama administration all I get is "at least he's better than those evil neo-cons!" People have their side and they are oblivious to anything other than how bad the other side is.
China's pollution is rapidly rising. Overall they have more pollution but it is lower than the US per capita. The US rate is headed down however while the rate for China has been going up. This is not about China bashing but reducing pollution. It'll help if the US keeps dropping their levels of pollution but not if the Chinese just take over for us. I don't think lazy data center managers are so much of the problem as that the alternatives for reduction are harder and harder to get. Eventually you hit line where the return for your capital outlay isn't repaid by energy cost reduction. Data centers have to make a profit.
Heh, you think we're fucking it up for everyone? Take a good look at what China is doing. Of course, don't bother telling them about it because they could give a fuck what you think about it. Even less than I do.
I consider myself a conservative but I am not really political. Politics doesn't drive my life. I started buying CFL's when they became reasonably priced not for political reasons but because they save me money. One bulb lasts years and they use much less energy. I'm starting to get LED bulbs now when I need new bulbs. I know for a fact that I use much less electricity than I used to even a decade ago not to mention the 80's and 90's. I use less fuel too, probably half what I used to. During the big surge in fuel prices a few years ago I made some changes to how I drive cutting down on short trips and planning ahead to merge trips into 1 so as to save gas where I could. I was surprised at how much fuel I was wasting. I assume that most people are like me, not fanatics about it but reasonably willing to use any means I can to reduce my usage of fuel and electricity. Why then does it seem to make no difference whatsoever? The nuts you refer too that waste out of spite are not that big of a group. I recently bought an HE Washer and Dryer combo that uses significantly less electricity than my old set, the clothes that come out of the washer are damn near dry from the incredible spin speed, my dryer takes less than half the time it used to for a load to dry. All this new stuff and no progress? At least my electricity bill is only about 2/3rds of what it was 5 years ago. Looking at China and its polution problems during the olympics I am starting to think that as the US begins to try to cut back the surge in manufacturing overseas is simply shifting the output to countries that don't have the margins to concern themselves with things like the EPA. I will continue to try to conserve, not for political reasons or because of GW promoters running around screaming the sky is falling but because it simply makes sense. Waste is stupid and wrong is a good enough reason and should be good enough for anyone.
I like the older ones for what they were. The newer ones are good for what they are. It's just an action flick and has little to say but it's a cool action flick. Not being a purist that's good enough for me, I just wish it was more.
The thing is that improvement is happening. We're moving to CFL lights and even to LED's. My air conditioner is vastly more efficient than the one I had 15 years ago. My car is more efficient, my refrigerator is more efficient, every single item I buy I try to buy the most efficient that I can. Still it seems that the problem only gets greater and greater. I get the feeling that no matter what I do it's like spitting in the ocean. The whole time I've got the global warming fanatics who, although I agree with their basic premise seem as shrill and batshit crazy in their attitudes as the global warming deniers are in theirs, screaming that we must DO something about it. That is the real issue to me. What will solve this? Maybe killing 3 or 4 billion people? I don't see reducing my output by 1/3rd accomplishing much.
I noticed today that about 2 out of every 3 cars failed to use a turn signal at all. About half that did utilize their turn indicators did so "after" they started their turn. This morning before sunrise while it was almost light about 1 out of every 10 cars had no lights on. On and on and on. And the police generally don't even bother with it. I spent 3 years in Germany and coming back to Georgia was like a shock. I knew it was bad before but after 3 years in a country where they don't tolerate shitty driving I was going nuts. Don't even get me started on the stupid asses going 62 in the fast lane on I-75 (plenty of Yankees doing that as well as home folks.) The average driving skill level in the US is so far below that of Germany that it is just dismally depressing.
Any personal tragedy is personal to you. To everyone else it's a statistic. I think we all know we can't make everyone 100 percent safe. We make choices based on different factors and only one of them is safety.
I saw a guy get sliced with a knife in a bar once. A big guy grabbed this little one and was trying to twist his head off. He had to stop because his guts were all over the floor. What an awful mess. It's hard to fight when you're sticking your entrails back in your belly. The other guy just went out the door and left. I heard they tried to prosecute but they had too many witnesses that stated what happened and finally they had to drop it. Man I kept seeing that scene in my dreams for months.
Short range it would be okay. Even pepper spray if you're close. If you aren't proficient with a pistol then those choices would certainly be decent alternatives. Over 10 feet of course a pistol is better especially if you've trained with it. Too many people think a gun is magic but training is needed to get the most out of any tool and weapons are no exception.
I think the greatest thing they could do is hire Pelosi if she ever retires from Congress. People love to hate her. The more she talks the more the hate grows.

Maybe I'll just have some cake.

Oooooh! Better register that trademark! Cloudframe. That even sounds like an IBM type of market speak.

Well that's a good way to avoid a price increase. If you're off the grid you are free. Not many can manage that unfortunately.
Think of all the hot air eliminated right there. Should be worth at least .2 reduction on the old PUE.
Heh, you think we're fucking it up for everyone? Take a good look at what China is doing. Of course, don't bother telling them about it because they could give a fuck what you think about it. Even less than I do.
Especially when you consider that energy costs will only go up. Any improvements today will reap even bigger benefits down the road.
Yeah I miss the old Bonds. The new one is okay but he's a little too grim for me. Bond movies are supposed to be fun.

They didn't steal it. They didn't want to fight and just handed it over. They pussied out and shouldn't get squat.
Old retirees who hate kids.

You're making me thirsty. I've got to go get a glass of Di-hydrogen Monoxide.

It's not really a good herbicide in my opinion. Kudzu laughs at it. I've seen people hit kudzu over and over with it and it comes right back.
You're the silver lining type aren't you? That's one of the ugliest cars ever made.
