heh, we'll miss you. You do know that millions of people make the trip with nary a problem. Bad shit happens everywhere, dip shit bureaucrats fuck up everywhere, it gets publicized a lot because a lot of people are fed up with the TSA and want to put pressure on it. I personally think the anti-terror pendelum has swung way too far but still it's a small percentage that have any real problem. I know lots of Americans wont travel overseas too though so what the hell. Hope you enjoy the vacation where ever you decide to wander.

Now that's an idea I like. Force them to pay foreigners more than they would a US worker. Thus they don't have an incentive to hire foreigners unless the shortage is real and when the shortage goes away they'll hire US workers. No wonder Germany manages to continue to be successful even though the EU flounders.

I remember when Made in the US meant so much, now it's no different from Made in China because the desire is to make money not products. The idea is to turn out cheap shitty products at a profit and sell extended warranties that cost more than the products themselves cost to produce. Most of their shit sucks nowadays, I've gotten up and walked out of movies that were boring me to tears after buying tickets at ridiculous prices. I can afford to piss away money on entertainment but it still pisses me off what these cocksuckers have done to American cinema.

And no one rational says it is. But even though you can't stop rape and murder you only punish the culprits, not the taxi driver that gave them a ride. Not the guy that rents them an apartment. Not the store that sold them a butcher knife. You don't make everyone wear a RFID tag and track them 24/7. You don't put cameras in every room of every house. No, what you do is you catch the culprits and punish them. The problem with the anti-piracy people is that they seem to think it's okay to take away everyone's freedom on the internet instead of doing actual investigation and punishment of those who actually commit piracy.

I actually own some apple hardware. It's really nice stuff but then it costs a lot of money so it should be. What bothers me is that the OS isn't what it could be. It's better than Windows in my opinion but really I remember putting Snow Leopard on my Dell 1545 just for kicks. It ran well on there and everything worked well and I played with it a week and then wiped it and went back to Linux. I had a Powerbook at the time that I used for iMovie and a couple of other Mac applications, I loved the hardware it was really nice but I really didn't like Leopard that much. I can buy nice Intel hardware a lot cheaper for similar equipment without the apple on the case and after I wipe the malware it comes with off and install Linux I'm much happier than I am with OS X. I'm not sure what's up with the interface but it seems sluggish to me....like their is lag in it or something. I still use OS X occasionally as I picked up a 2008 macbook for iMovie but with Openbox getting better I'm thinking of selling it off. I want to like OS X but it's so hard to. Maybe I'm just spoiled.

You totally missed my point. I actually agree with you about the founding fathers. It's todays idiot fathers that are the problem. They are undoing what was done to provide a free democracy. They apparently intend to build a tyranny in order to keep us safe. They want to abolish freedom in order to protect. I know, it was kinda tongue in cheek and maybe over the top but still those kinds of attitudes the founding fathers had would not go well in todays nanny state.

The beauty of it is that by flying airliners into buildings the 9/11 terrorists effectively ended hijacking. Now when someone tries to take over an aircraft the passengers leap over seats to attack them. It used to be they flew you somewhere, might kill one or two people during negotiations, then eventually it all settled out maybe with a gun battle and the majority of people on board made it home a few days late. Now, knowing the fuckwads are gonna fly you into a building, it's in your best interest to rip the fuckers head off or die trying.

Want to bet this guy survives to collect any money? Would you really rather take you chance with Iranian justice instead of US or Canadian? Don't get me wrong. I don't like the attack on civil liberties since 9/11 and I think the war on terror is out of hand. That said, if you think Iran and the US are on the same plane you've clearly lost any sense of perspective.
