oooooh! Well actually I haven't dragged the old A3000 out in almost 10 years. I do still have it, an A1200, A500 and a Commodore 64. I enjoyed them all immensely since purchasing the C64 back in 1983. I did pull the 64 out briefly a few years ago to get a recipe off a disk I had stored. Over 20 years old that 5.25" floppy but it still worked. Now I mostly use Linux or a Mac although we have Win7 on the computers at work. Nice to see someone on here remembers Amiga users well enough to insult them!
Under a FOIA request I finally managed to find out how they manage to function under those conditions. It seems Federal Agencies have been issued glass belly buttons. Now, since they can't pull their heads from their anus they no longer have to. They can still see where they are going.
I remember how astonished a friend of mine was when he ordered his brand new 2009 iMac and it had absolutely no adware whatsoever. He was blown away that there weren't 150 demo and trial softwares along with all the nag banners and bullshit you get with your typical windows box. He recently installed an SSD drive because the original HD was starting to make the death click noise and he says it's like he got a brand new computer. It seems faster than his wife's new windows laptop he says.
My giving up all I own and living in the forest like an animal will do as much good as spitting in the ocean to fill it up. I'm 1 out of over 7 billion and I'm just as human as all the others. I use LED lighting and have a high efficiency heat pump and do a lot of other things to limit my output but really I do all that more to save money than out of any though it actually matters much. If you live a modern lifestyle with an apartment or house that comes with all the amenities that modern life has then you use too much resources. 7 billion people can't live like that without draining the planets resources. Do you have a car? A boat for recreation? An RV? Maybe you don't but millions of Americans do. And do you think you'll force them to give them up? You still have people that deny global warming is real, a lot of people. All you have to do to know it's real is look at a fucking thermometer. The oceans are much warmer and we still aren't even really slowing down hardly at all. Because people aren't going to give up the good life for what might happen 50 or 100 years down the road. Shit man, it's hard as hell to get people to save for retirement! But go on and hate on me for telling you the hard, cold truth.
I can make the case that 7 billion is too many people. Maintaining 7 billion people at the standard of living most civilized countries are accustomed to is an enormous drain on the planet's resources. And that population is continuing to climb. There are over 1 billion vehicles in use by humans on this planet. A billion cars, trucks and buses. Think about all the energy produced to house 7 billion people. I know in a lot of third world countries they use a fraction of what places like Europe and the US use but still most places in the world at least have heated housing. The thing about humans is that they alter their environment to provide comfort for themselves. In the US when I was a child in the 60's an air conditioned car was an expensive luxury. Today it's hard to find one that doesn't have it as standard equipment. Most houses have a heat pump air conditioning/heater system whereas mine growing up had a gas floor furnace for winter and box fans in the windows for summer. Poor people in the US today live better than royalty did 200 years ago. My wife and I own a car each plus a pick up truck and we're just a middle class couple. The excess wealth of humanity is destroying the environment. Sure, life will go on. I know the Earth has been a lot hotter ages ago than it is now. They've found semi-tropical foliage frozen in Antarctica. I'm not making any proposals because I know that there is too much inertia to change anything. People will keep fucking and having children and things will continue to change. I don't know how it'll work out but I'm pretty sure it will hold out for my lifetime but I think in my grand children's lifetime there will be severe problems. Maybe technology can handle it or maybe there will be a die off. In nature, when deer get overpopulated disease and starvation will eventually correct the problem. This can happen to humans too. And then there's always war with WMD.
Other than Obamacare, which in reality was more like Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi care, Obama didn't really do much. And really, how much do they need to do? "That government is best which governs least." I find that to be true in practice. I thought it was pretty stupid of the Republicans to refuse to approve the justice Obama proposed. It was very short sighted of them. I'll take a moderate any day as they mostly just follow the constitution. The fact is that Republicans are no longer a conservative party. They offer lip service to it but crap like the "Patriot" act are not conservative legislation. Growing government has no part of a conservative agenda. They've abandoned their electorate and now they've got a crazy outsider for a nominee. One they don't like and didn't want but it's him or Hilliary and they started to realize that failing to support Trump is going to piss off millions of voters who selected him. Voters who might fail to vote them in next election. I'm not happy about him either but.....it's him or Hilliary.
Hitler owned the Nazi party by the time he became Chancellor. Trump has no control over the Republican party, he simply hijacked their electorate. They were going to try to cram !Jeb or some other establishment drone down the electorates throat just like they did with Romney in spite of how that worked for them. He has no backing to speak of within the halls of Congress and less that that from the military. He wouldn't make a pimple on Hitler's ass.
She's going to get to appoint 3 justices to the Supreme Court. That's way too many for someone like her to get to appoint. She'll have the political backing thanks to her corporate and banking sponsors who own a lot of the senators on the other side of the aisle to get her nominees pushed through despite contentious and drawn out hearings. It'll slant the Supreme Court which has been mostly center-right since Reagan far to the left. Gun control and things like TPP will finally be able to be legislated by the Supremes which is a wet dream for the far left. I don't know all of what the banks have in store for us but one thing I'm in full agreement with the socialists in Bernie's camp on is that the banks aren't our friends. Trump is a political bungler who will have to have assistance by political handlers to manage him or he'll get absolutely nothing done. Clinton is a political elite who had the full backing of the corps and banks and the insider establishment. Next to her Obama was a political neophyte. Hell, I'd gratefully endure another 8 years of Obama instead of her. I so wish Bernie had won the Democratic nomination but as we've seen that was never going to happen. He never had a chance from the start because the Democrat's primary was bagged up and presented to her by the party leadership.
It doesn't really matter. Ultimately the problem is people. The only way to save the planet is to get rid of all the people. People dam rivers, raise cows, run industry and just generally destroy the environment. I guess the planet is doomed. Enjoy it while it lasts.
His returns show the facts and figures of his business. From there it's simple to deduce his net worth. Hell, they've almost managed it without his returns. Actual documents will simply tweak the figures and give his opponents a chance to wave actual numbers in public.
And I'm not defending Trump. He's a blowhard and mostly full of shit. It's simply that I actually fear a Clinton presidency. She's backed by some of the worst people, corporations and banks in the world. Worse, she's very smart and has the political know how and allies to accomplish most if not all of her agenda. The idea of her actually appointing Supreme Court justices gives me hives. The best hope I have is Trump being elected. As president he will most likely accomplish very little. Without allies a president can do almost nothing of any real value and if Trump actually attempts any of the nonsense he blathers about in his rallies then he'll quickly be rendered ineffective and basically will serve a 4 year lame duck term. It's not good but it's better than the alternative. This is what happens when there are no good options.
I know that during the Republican primaries the media coverage of Trump was largely one of wonder. "How is this happening." It wasn't really that positive it was more like he was the agent of change and the non politician that was challenging the elites. This perception was largely what I saw. There was a lot of criticism of his immigration views by the media but by and large it didn't start to get nasty until they realized that he could actually win. It's almost impossible to have positive coverage about two such awful candidates. Every single time I hear someone say something good about either one I want to laugh. The only thing I actually like about Trump is that he's not Hilliary.
He didn't write it but he did sign it. Bill Clinton was left wing on everything but the economy. And like he said, "It's the economy, stupid!" Bill Clinton was the last president to work with an opposition congress to accomplish anything. If the motherfucker could keep his pants zipped he could have gone down in history as one of the best presidents ever. Obama had a Democrat controlled congress and he used it to ram a shitty health care bill down everyone's throat. He got what he wanted but pissed off enough people to destroy the Democrats majority in both houses. We had a really good Democrat representative in my district until after he voted for that bill. Before Obamacare he was a sure thing every election. That one vote for the AHCA ended his political career. Now we have a tea party Republican.
His returns will show he's not a billionaire. To him that's the worst possible thing for the media to be able to prove. He'd rather be known as a crazy jerk than a pure charlatan.
Entertaining is it?

Fortunately my rights remain regardless of your opinion.
My wife's Medtronic Insulin pump requires actually pushing an acknowledgment button before it will deliver insulin.

I live in the real world. I think you live in a fantasy where someone can wave a magic wand and everything will suddenly be okay.
Damn, that was rude. Funny though.
If you know the mystery of the registry you can have some control. Without that you're at the mercy of the computer.

By how simple you are you must be a windoze user.

Well, he's managed to buy some nice property along the way. Eventually it might be worth a few bucks.

Some of us wear overalls.
Ever seen a beaver dam? Then take a look at Hoover Dam.

302 million for Apple is like me reaching in my pants pocket and pulling out $1.55 in change.

I can't believe he was stupid enough to say that in public.....or private either.
