But still, have someone pay for it once (or discover it through brute force if they dare wait that long) and then simply hand the private key out to everyone else. $200 to fix a catastrophe seems like a cheap price to pay. Hell, maybe you'd get lucky and catch the guy by following the money.

Music Brainz first checks the audio fingerprint before checking ID3 tags. It only uses the ID3 tags if it can't find a matching fingerprint. If anything, I would assume this would be less accurate, as sound quality over phones is less than that of even low-encoded mp3's.

I KNOW how bit torrent works - but what good is a trackerless torrent if you still need a host somewhere who's up and running to connect to, as specified by the .torrent file.

I'm talking about a protocol level. This doesn't seem to accomplish much in the way of providing anonymity if everyone in the swarm still had to go through the same starting node somewhere. I don't see how else it could work though.

You're right - it doesn't resemble an iPod. Read damn my post. Yet, relative to its previous incarnation, it is much more interesting and creative. I'm not saying its god's gift to designers, just that it shows a more interesting and relaxed design from a rigid black box.

Does it copy the Dell? Maybe, but better that than another squat black box.

I wouldn't call it the vain light. Rather, the iPod, in this case, inspired designers to break out of there black box designs.

It's also obvious these don't copy the iPod. What they do is suggest more creative and liberal industrial design - empowered by Apple's success. More power to everyone for that.

Mind you also that a lot of XBox games will be designed for Live, which may or may not work on modded boxes (probably won't.) Thus to play them, people will still have to buy the game and use it on an umodded box.

If you watch the video, the very last demonstration is that of them generating the image of a King (of hearts?) that was not directly visible to the camera. Rather, its face was reflected onto the page of an open book - much more complicated that just, say, a mirror. The cards reflection is not visible in the still image of the book and is only made possible through pixel scanning with the projector.

In sum, they are seeing around a corner and are seeing something the camera could not see (directly).
