However an AS/400 or top end Unix server would kick-arse as a LAN gaming station, 32 processors, 4 TB disk, 20GB RAM. Ummmm.

This wouldn't be too far away if things go well with Moore's Law... (well, 32 processors might be too much but what about one that's comparable with 32 of today's processors?)

  3. Why do I have to replace the print head as well? on Anti-Competitive Behavior in the Printer Industry? · · Score: 1

They should seperate the print head and the ink cartridges.

So that I can replace only the ink cartridge when it's out of ink. And I'll replace the print head when "necessary".

I wouldn't start thinking about the harm of cellphone as long as no body get cooked by bluetooth device.

I think the monitor in eMac can do way better then that with some software tweaks. I'm using an old AppleVision 1710 with 1280x960@75Hz (it actually can do 80Hz but I afraid it'll give up the job if I push it too hard...)

Would you now say it was fair to order twice as much as everyone else, and a bottle of champagne for yourself?

This analogy is flawed. Because we're odering a set-meal here. The restaurant is advertising that I can have that much of food and now they said I ate too much when I had the amount they advertised!!

So do I have to pay AMD more if I run SETI?

Or do I have to pay more if I filled up my hard drive?

The answer is obiously a big NO.

I bought my 1.4GHz because it is advertised as 1.4GHz. How many % of its full potential I use is my business.

Same as my ADSL connection. I subscribed to my current ISP because they has been advertising it is a nkbps pipe.
