wait what? the mac does not have hideous shine effects. I just took a pic of some of the native apps (itunes, safari and the system preferences) and I see no shine effects. I guess the window buttons, but they are so small, that does it really count as being overly shiny?

Assuming you were using firefox (since you are running XP), it will send a theora video which more than likely wont be hardware accelerated. Some H.264 videos will get hardware acceleration if you get a card that supports it. Even some integrated video chips support hardware acceleration for H.264. Once what ever video format gets more momentum and gets hardware acceleration you'll notice how low the cpu an go with it. This is great news for smartphones and other battery (and not very fast cpu) devices as the hardware acceleration would allow for both smoother operation and a lower power consumption.

If you access to a mac and the iphone sdk, then you can install it on your own iphone without paying. So yes, you can definitely use the source code for free. Also, I believe, that if apple has accepted you into their iphone developer program, then you can compile it from source and send the app to up to 100 persons so they can "test it." I'm not entirely sure how the whole 100 person thing works tho.

I went to a Presbyterian HS in Texas. Biology class taught evolution and Bible class had a discussion about evolution and intelligent design. I even watch Planet of the Apes in said Biology class. I'm not Presbyterian, tho; I'm Baptist (please don't hurt me!) . I know a lot of Christians out there that do not have a huge problem with evolution or no problem at all.

I would say that the biggest problem I see with most christians today, is that some groups are polarizing every problem and debate out there so that they can control what is seemed as good or evil. Then of course, you have the problem of a lot of people call themselves christians because their family has always been christian without understanding what christianity means. They do not follow what the bible say. In fact, I'll say, most of them have never read the bible. If you combine the group that wants to control everything by polarizing the problems and the people that want to be identified as christians but have no idea what it means, you can get to where we are right now.

The funny thing is that bible itself has a warning that we shouldn't follow false prophets that hide behind christianity and the bible to hate (like Fred Phelps and company), obtain power and control, etc. I wish everyone could understand that being christian is not a matter of calling yourself one and following certain rules. Everyone can call himself a christian (even you! try it in front of a mirror if you are scared someone can hear you :P ).

I might be wrong, but the point is.. a SSD doesnt have any moving parts that will be "move" in an unwanted fashion once the airplane or just the blackbox is hit. This is specially true for all the vibrations that would go thru blackbox material. The black box itself is supposedly there to protect the disk and other instruments from a direct hit, but vibrations will still go thru.
