Markets existed before what wee describe today as the Capitalist system. What is different today is the enshrining of markets as the universal solution, and thus the ultimate value, even when human values are at stake.
The article seems to mix small particle and NOx emissions in a way that is confusing. These are two very different forms of pollution. It doesn't appear there is a link to the original study, unless I've missed it. I would lean to the microparticle pollution being the cause of the deaths.
The final threat for Google's Android may be the most pernicious: What if a significant number of the people who adopted Android as their first smartphone move on to something else as they become power users?
1. Pick your favorite firmware
2. Check the lists to see which routers are supported
3. Check forums and reviews on the equipment, with the firmware in question (many perform better with dd-wrt than stock)
4. Make your choice
It may well be that 'sharing economy' is just a manifestation of a deeper problem, the inability of the drivers of development in the past century -- capitalism and democracy -- to cope with the problems the modern world is facing.
They're coping just fine, they're just not sharing. They'd rather put it in offshore taxshelters.
No, that doesn't make sense. Because you are saying that New Jersey cannot regulate sales of cars in their own state because of where they are made.
Or did the longstanding rules (much older than NJ rules) in several of these states become unconstitutional because they apply to Tesla where before they only applied to Detroit/Japan/etc?
Is there any sale more basic than a direct sale? How can banning such a sale, for vehicles made in another state, not be interfering with interstate commerce? Were Teslas actually made in NJ, the laws prohibiting direct sales would not be interfering. So, you are correct that the state of manufacture is relevant, but for opposite the reason your suggesting.
As to cars made in another country? This is irrelevant to the matter at hand.
The bills from the Obama administration will dwarf the minor fraction of debt that was from the Iraq war.
Discretionary spending under Obama has grown at the slowest rate for any president since Eisenhower. Admittedly, the sequester has played a big role in this. The annual deficit Obama largely inherited from Bush has been cut in half. Go ahead and live your delusion. Some of us, including the parent poster HAVE moved on. Will you?
I'm sure we'll see a rush to judgment that these deals are the end of network neutrality, blah, blah. From the outside looking in, we don't really know what added value is being provided to the content providers. Quite possibly, likely in my view, Comcast is providing CDN services to Netflix, and may be doing so for Apple as well. If so, there are benefits all around, in terms of Comcast, Netflix and reducing backbone congestion. A CDN is quite different from a toll road.
Sique's assumption is that big bandwidth would be THE issue. It could just as likely be about content. If you give the carriers free reign on this, it could be used as a de facto form of censorship.
At least, until Google owns enough of the infrastructure to join the 'big boys' in their little club. Then it'll just be more of the same, but with 1 extra player.
This would be just huge as a switch completely to the dark side for Google. I might even be looking for my pitch fork.
But private entities could band together and form cooperatives. I don't know why the Rural Electric Coops aren't all over this. A great deal could be done with a little organization.
Total mass of ice in the Antarctic continues to decline:

Temperature trends since the 90s indicate more gradual warming, not cooling.

In the past, ice at the poles has never coexisted with atmospheric CO2 above 400ppm, a threshold that we just crossed. Time will prove you drastically wrong, but some of us are running low on patience for the trolling.
Wish I could mod you up. I did tens of thousands of business with Newegg over a period of 3 years. Now I go more often to Amazon. Newegg tried to be Amazon and failed. Amazon is now better at doing what Newegg used to do than Newegg is today. It is easier to find what you need and the reviews are better.
Do you have Aspergers? High functioning Autism? Seriously, you dissed the connections Facebook facilitates (that were referred to in the parent post) as being "bullshit" in terms of importance. All that matters to you is the technology that Facebook contributes. Technology for what purpose and to what ends? Tools trump human beings and society?
I'm sure that the biggest reason people use Facebook is for its connection facilitating function. Most people don't care a great deal about Facebook's technology contributions beyond Facebook itself. Like you, I do, but I never want to lose sight of the bigger picture. Have I misunderstood you somehow?

Use AMD instead.
Short sellers who want to close out their positions in the money?
Don't you mean Pro Climatic?

Fricken Chinese
Not every upgrade, but far too many are just like this ^.
Why "treason"? Because the real aim is chilling expression.

Sea ice that is miles wide and inches thick doesn't comprise the main part of ice in the Antarctic. Total mass of ice, sea and land, is declining. http://www.skepticalscience.com/antarctica-gaining-ice.htm
The extent of sea ice during the winter seems to be growing, but the total MASS of ice, sea and land, continues to shrink. You're the propagandist.
I'll believe it's more than theater when they provide a home for Snowden.

You make a good point. With air to fuel ratios climbing well above stoichiometric, NOx emissions will climb.
