I'm sure you have heard of playstation & xbox they sell controllers at a much higher price then the generic ones and the difference is a simple logo.
No, the difference is the generic one usually sucks and the logo'd one is of equal quality to what was sold originally. Generally speaking, the difference between a branded item and a generic is quality (no this is not 100% true).
SAPDB != the SAP enterprise suite. The database is just one component. SAPDB, mysql, Oracle, all can be installed in a few hours on any OS. It's getting the data and application to work together that take time.
Or paying comp to a work who broke their leg in the parking lot in January because they apparently didn't realize that falling precip creates ice, not puddles of water. And even this would be somewhat understandable except if said employee wasn't even wearing proper foot wear for the conditions.
Workmans comp laws almost always rule against the employer even when the employee shows an extreme lack of common sense.
If you don't ever use the phone, then just ditch the line and make up a number?? I got rid of my landline but still give out the number when appropriate.
No, high margin implies that for every dollar you spend, you get a large percentage back as profit. For example, spend 50 cents making a widget, but sell it for $1. Your margins are 50%.
High profits means you sold a whole bunch of these widgets to make lots of money. 1,000 $1 widgets nets a $500 profit at 50% margins. You could have high margins but low profits by only selling a few widgets, ie only selling 10 widgets at $5 profit.
Conversely, you could also have low margins but high profits. You make very little on each item, but make up for it by moving the item in very large quantities, selling 10,000 $1 items with a 10% margin yields $1,000.
How about going to medical school? Doctors and lawyers are the only ones making real money these days.
No entry level computer job is going to allow you to cover those kinds of bills. And no health insurance from an employer is going to cover extended family.
If you drive a smaller car you already pay less. Currently I pay more per mile in taxes to drive my pickup than the person next to me driving a Prius. This is an accepted cost of driving a bigger vehicle with worse than average gas mileage. However, I may end up paying less overall taxes than the Prius if I only drive 6,000 miles per year and the prius drives 25,000 miles. But that is also fair as the Prius is enjoying much greater use of the roadway than me.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has sought to ban illegal downloading on any state computers, including those owned by the state university systems.
So he wants to ban an activity that is already illegal? Perhaps instead of making redundant laws, how about enforcing the first one that makes the activity illegal.
Because a roaming profile only set's up your profile, it won't install apps that aren't already on the pc. Profile = shortcuts, drive mappings, application configs, etc.
I'm fairly sure nobody would care or pay much attention outside of thinking the game maker was displaying ignorance of political geography. The government certainly would not ban it.
But they aren't buying new servers every month. Sure, the first month they only make $500,000 net revenue, but they've already paid off the fixed infrastructure costs. More than likely, the servers are on a 3 year depreciation schedule like other fixed assets, so they are only out $22,000 a month for equipment. This is even a tax write off, lowering their taxes.
So they are easily bringing in more than a million a month profit, assuming of course bandwith + salaries + maintenance is under $500,000 a month. Don't forget, they sold 200,000 boxes also, so they made at least a million on initial sales alone.
Where did you intern at while you were getting your degree? Assuming you interned at a reputable company, that experience should be plenty to get you an entry level job somewhere.
If you didn't intern, I'd have to say you are SOL at this point. Perhaps go back to graduate school and intern while you are there.
Neocon philosophy is *never* wrong. Any mistakes happen because the philosophy was not put into practice vigorously enough. In other words, they compromised too much, and if they'd been sufficiently uncompromising they would have succeeded. Rather a disturbing world view, IMHO. Of course, this is the result of an hour or so on the Web, and my view can be modified by facts.
Oddly enough I've seen the same quote attributed to Extreme Programming. Just replace the Neocon at the beginning with XP.
Except this isn't a portable dvd player. The only relationship it has to a portable dvd player is that it can play movies. Are you going to start buying movies in a format that may or may not survive?
A credit card is a short-term interest free loan assuming you pay it off at the end of the month. You get the bill and pay if off if the charges look correct.
A debit card is linked directly to your checking account. As soon as the card is swiped, the funds are already being transferred out of your account.
It's still a debate in my household as to which is the preferred one to use.
Maybe they are going to give away virtual server for free.... oh wait they already did.
This is why packets have sequence numbers. Out of order UDP packets are simply ignored.
How about a photograph is a picture of something in the real world, and a screenshot is not? I think it's pretty easy to tell the difference.
We also don't pay ~$4 per gallon in taxes like everyone in Europe does.
Why do you drive then? You are doing more wear to your car in not letting it come to operating temperature anyway.

Did your tv turn itself on and tune itself to the advertising channel?

That's why I said they sue YOU if YOU attempt to sell. I never stated if you or a third party created the material.
If you attempt to sell them, yes they can sue you.

Yes, it is currently called a credit card.
