That's not true. Quite often the scale of the assistance needed (e.g. fire, earthquake, hurricane, mudslide, flood, blizzard, etc.) is beyond the capacity of people who care about people, and requires the logistical capability and specific training and knowledge this charitable organizations have.
Oh cry me a flippin river. The big bad government is at it again. GET A LIFE YOU MORON! Poaching deer is a problem. Unfortunately there are enough of these deer "hunters" out there taking ILLEGAL actions that efforts as such are needed. It is ILLEGAL to shoot a deer out of season and close to a road and depending where you're at and what permits you have, a doe.
These idiots deserve to be fined and have their guns taken away and it's not entrapment (see other threads).
I am a deer hunter that follows the laws, and I have witnessed such stupidity (that's why I avoid public hunting grounds).
Or even as popular, the infamous road hunt. This is where a the maniacs shoot either from their vehicle or from right next to the road. In WI it's illegal to shoot within 50' from the center line of the road.
No, go look it up. The number of deer (at least in Wisconsin) has grown dramatically over the last several decades.
Even in places with CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease), where there have been specific herd reduction efforts by the DNR, the numbers are actually increasing.
It irrates the hell out of me that I'm paying $30+ a month just to have a land line sit on the wall. But... We've been in our home for 8 years now. I can count the number of times my phone has been down on one hand with a few fingers removed. I can't say the same for my charter.net connection.
Those facts, combined with having to make a 911 call when my daughter was 18 months (she's now 6) makes me now view our land line as an insurance policy. We've got two young children in the home and knowing that they have access to a reliable communications device gives me more peace of mind then going with any current VoIP solution.
Are you trying to imply Microsoft's website has security issues because other people have registered domains with microsoft.com in them? This has nothing to do with Microsoft. In your example it sub7.net that has registered this name and not a case where someone hacked. Go register your domain, abcxyz.com and the create microsoft.descriptorhere.abcxyz.com
When I used IE7 last
Have you tried this one? Are you part of the beta? Seems you jumped on the MS bashing wagon a little too quickly. It is beta just as FireFox, Google et. all have done in the past. If this were a release candidate then maybe you would be fair in making this comment.
Ah, yes. The CoCo2...complete with 16k and a tape drive connected to a cheap K-Mart color TV. Taught myself BASIC and subscribed to Rainbow magazine (how many games did you rekey?).
Then of course came the CoCo3 with 128K and I had the world...what one could do with so much RAM.
And the CoCo baseball game cartridge was the best.
No kidding.

Damn, I thought it was my turn to use the Russian.
Whooooosh.
No kidding.... who would name their product after a former Jets defensive?
Discharging a gun from a vehicle and/or within x feet from the road, where x=distance defined in your state.

Are you thinking assymtope?
It's not about DRM, it's about NOT having the FREEDOM to use GPL in DRM media if I were (and I'm not) so inclined to do so.
Ouch!
Ok, I'll believe any McDonalds product could survive 2000g but wouldn't anything edible be mushed?

Going to their site and clicking around a bit reveals there isn't anything of substance on the site. Even news articles link to nothing.

Sharing some of your wisdom re: misinformed comments might actually make your post useful.
Point well made
