I just had a though. If parts of the web were damaged and the spiders repaired it, why dont we start harvesting this. The goats milk spider silk is really our only means of obtaining large amounts of spider silk, but theres probably applications for a gigantic field of spider silk. Spiders dont do well in captivity, unlike silkworms, but if the cause of this web could be found we could possibly havd a way to harvest real spider silk in large quantities.
Oh c'mon, this is probably just some promo stunt for the Spider-man Sequel
alternate joke
They probably got annoyed with those ads for MSN 8 and decided to spin a web to catch those idiots in the butterfly suits.
It's a great gui program for windows, which does just what you'd expect, it skins the windows interface, all of it. There are hundreds of differnet skins you can get from places like these. Its not free software, but the trial doesn't seem to expire, you just get a pop-up everytime you boot up or change skins, but an added bonus is it doesn't take up much in the way of system resources, unless your running some gaudy skin with animations everywhere. Some of the skins do have all the bells and whistles crap you seem to be complaining about, but others are very minimalistic. Also many skins have added features, like a clock in the window, winamp controls at the bottom edge of the window, buttons to launch noptepad, browser etc. Another cool feature is the roll up, right clicking on the top bar of a window, or clicking on the first button(roll up, minimize, maximize, close), rolls the window up into the top bar alla macOS. Another cool program that could ad some funcionality is Hoverdesk, the trial expires after 30, and i didn't have the time to completely configure it for myself, but with some time it seemed to me like it could make a really fucntional alternative gui. I know this sounds like a shameless plug, but i really love windowblinds.
Anyone else remember this? Oh yeah, and there's that pesky audio in jack, but i assume that the RIAA will soon be coming door to door and filing those with putty, rendering the use of chisels, paper-clips and anythign else that could dig out the putty a felony under the DMCA.
Why would anyone block nano-tech research, to me it holds a promise for the future. If we ever get it fine enough, we can mess with basic atoms, which leads to endless possibilites. Also the medical aplications are amazing, little bots swimming around in my arteries scraping off gunk, zapping cancerous cells and foreign bits and such. The only negative use that immediately comes to mind is some sorta micro assasin thing, like in that crappy movie a while ago, Balistic X vs 7 or whatever.
jeez, i posted this AC cuz it was the first thing that came to my 12 year old mind, but i didn't think it was that funny, now it gets modded +3 so far, i guess jizz jokes are funny
I say we just offload all the extremists and morons onto Mars....That should help the longevity of the human race, although I can't speak for the "Mars colonists"
They'd probably come back and start pushing us around, acting like they're the only planet in the solar system. Look what happened when Europe started sending all its extreemists, nutwhacks and convicts to the 'new world' and didn't expect them to survive.
If i had the points man. Really, BG isn't that bad a guy, i know M$ sucks, but he did build a multi-national, multi-billion company out of his garage, he deserves a little respect. The point is this one man has given nearly 6 billion *pinky to mouth* dollars to charity.
Wellstone was the one dissenter to the Patriot act.
Actually my senator, Russ Feingold, was the only one to vote against the USA Patriot Act. An address of his revealing his reasons for dong so. Wellstone was a good guy, he was IMO the most liberal senator next to Feingold.
[conspiracy]Anyone else find it weird that one of the most liberal senators who was up for re-election died in a plane crash days before the election. A few years back Mel Carnahan, Ashcrofts rival for the MO senate seat died in a plane crash shortly before the election. Chew on that.[/conspiracy]
Yeah, also i've always wondered how they get the sound of the skis/snowboards and stuff in the winter olympics, do they have the ski hills miced? Same with the ramps and stuff at the gravity/x games.
Did you ever see that one Pinky and the Brain? They created miniature Black Holes in a jar and sold them as garbage disposals, i don't remember how this tied into their plot to take over the world, bum bum bum... [insert theme song]
Go read Issac Asimovs Robot Series, the laws differ between worlds.

They're trying to catch one of those butterfly dudes from those damn MSN ads.
Yeah, milwaukee is allways getting new products too. McDonalds brats, pepsi blue, mt dew code red... I dunno, sometimes it irks me to be a test bed.
Yeah, except the majority of people listen to crappy radio.

How many furlongs in a fortnight?

I make backups of them of course.
This concludes our six week course.

Black Hole fastly moves you. And just about everything else in the vicinity...
*proves 'theory' of gravity wrong* Whee, i can fly!

Damnit, there's no sound in space, ever! Stop watching enterprise and switch to fox on friday night. Firefly got it right.
They have Dilbert mints, well, they're pretty much just Altoids with Dilbert characters on the tin.
