For one thing, compiling takes time. It would take about a week of compiling non-stop to set up a full desktop. And some things MUST be binaries. For example, boot sectors and bootable CDs.
Last I checked, GPL'd code cannot link to or be linked to from a non-compatible licensed program.
Though it might be the case anyway since I'm pretty sure KDE is LGPL, not GPL.
Shouldn't this be the other way around? I haven't seen any *nix apps that use comma delimited file formats yet, but I've seen plenty of Windoze ones... On the other hand, there are plenty of tab/space delimited files in *nix...
From just reading your first paragraph, it is obvious you do not know what anime is. Sailor Moon is not anime. It is a stupid dub which is copied off of the anime Bishoujosenshi Sailormoon.
Some people have said that OS detection is only used for exploiting things. I don't know about other people, but I at least use it as a simple measure of intelligence. XP being lowest, other Windows next lowest, Mac and OSX somewhere in the middle, and everything else a bit higher. Of course, with everyone switching to Linux, including the less intelligent people (this is what Lindows is for), I might have to stop making these assumptions...
1. People don't have to go through physical things such as cash.
2. People don't realize they're paying for it at all.
3. Skipping money also makes it untaxable (I think?)
Actually, they could quite easilly require results for a calculation (perhaps simply adding 2 random numbers) within a certain period of time and if your system fails to answer, disable your access. A bit more complex, but it would work since they could easilly change the test formulas on the server.
Uhm... A few months ago, it takes 2 to 3 days to compile KDE from CVS. (note: I say a few months ago because that is approximately how long ago I bought the parts for this PC)
The first episode played fine, but for some reason MPlayer doesn't like the audio in this one? Anyone know how to fix this problem?

The global warming myth is almost getting as popular as the evolution myth... What's next? Microsoft claiming that Windows is secure? oh, wait...

I don't know about W98, but Windows 2000 sure can't be installed for even a year without corrupting itself and needing a reinstall...

I wish. Tried HE and another one, but neither worked.

In 2023, conference rooms will be an improved version of the IRC protocol.
Well, unless I'm mistaken, BlueTooth doesn't need a hub/server to work as a wireless LAN and they can relay data from one device to another.
Also quite inaccurate. 22/7 in KCalc results in 3.14286, possibly continued. Pi starts with 3.14159

"cat /dev/random > /dev/mouse" screwed up my mouse and I *had* to re-plug it to make it work correctly again.
Actually, male/female are one's sex. Gender is masculine/feminine.
If they are not online, they do not exist. Therefore, 95% of people know Windows. 8% know Mac or OSX, 5% know KDE, and 5% know GNOME.

www.ninnle.org doesn't get a DNS lookup :(

Uhm... I have to force RAM to go in the *right* way...
Isn't PS/2 *supposed* to be hotplugable?... like serial, parports, and the rest of plugs on the outside of a PC...
You might note that nVidia are the only video cards with hardware acceleration at all so anything else will only be as good as the nv driver.
PS2 is an abbriviation for PlayStation 2. PS/2 is the mouse protocol most commonly in use today.
I would recommend a shorter URI... Say, http://google.com/search?q=laptop+parts for instance.
Wow I knew prices were dropping, but I had no idea they would drop $60 in only 3 hours!
