    I use Mozilla for GNU/Linux... I don't even think I have wxWindows installed, so how could it be using it? I thought Mozilla was using GTK+ anyway... I was just able to put over 4000 characters in this textbox (as a test; I deleted it after) and had no problem...

    I get nearly as much spam on AIMCQ (AIM+ICQ) as I do in email. Hopefully all the people I know on AIM will stop using the outdated proprietary protocols and switch the Jabber soon...

    Well, 5 GB was 9 days of dialup. 10 GB is only 18 days. The minimum for a per month cap any cable or DSL company can set should be around 25 GB (which is a month of slightly-higher-than-dialup)

    Wine isn't a virtual machine or an emulator of any kind. It is merely a Win32 API implementation. The code from the programs run natively.

    Java is supposed to be slow. It's an interpretor.
    And Mozilla isn't slow. Try running Mozilla compiled with Visual C++ (in Windows or Wine) and it will be fine. The speed problem here is the C++ compiler from GCC.

    I thought the grandparent post was joking when he said it showed how to get WineX for free because it's so simple... Then I see the parent post and see that not everyone has used CVS before... Either the password is blank (just hit enter when asked) or the password is anoncvs I'm quite sure it says that on the transgaming site too...

    Infact, that's the main problem with KDE. You can't just run Konqueror w/o KDE. Nor can you run KDE w/ Mozilla instead of Konqueror. Of course, the CVS Konqueror is competitive with Mozilla (need anti-popup/banner tho), but I still would prefer Mozilla right now.

    Maybe, except that these things are rare on Linux and when they happen, they're nearly always a trojan. They happen alot more often on Windoze and most of them there are chaotic viruses.
