In just about any project, the people actually putting things together need a short form to refer to what they're working on. Saying "the new Red Hat release" gets kinda tiring, same thing with "RedHat 7.2.95" or anything similar. Every project needs a name, whether it's useful or appropriate or not, and whether or not it's actually used by anyone outside the actual project group.
I've said for a while that when they make electric or hybrid cars that are as fun to drive as mine (I drive a Mazda MX-6, '93), I'll go for it. With a peak output of 250HP, that's definitely getting there! I haven't actually tested my car for power / accelleration, but 0-60 in 7s is nice. I just wonder how long the battery would last with ME driving!
Now, if they can find a way to produce them economically (i.e. I can't pay more than $40,000CDN for one), then I'd buy one.
All of the Palm's with the III style have display issues. My Dad, my brother, and I all had the same display problems which seemed to be connector flakyness (screen cutting in and out, shaking it would change the display, etc.). Being the aggressive type, I was the first to take it back to Palm, Keating Tech. the company that does support for Palm, and got a replacement, which would promptly fail. I went through this 7 times - some of them were even DOA.
I now have a Palm Vx, and I haven't had a problem. I think the V's (and M50X's) are slightly better built than the III's (and M1XX's). I haven't figured out what I'm going to do with three dead Palm III's though.

or more appropriately, when I see the bill for it!
