I'm not all that excited about this game.. I have played several of the past ones and found them lacking.. Sure the story and graphics draw you into the game but once you set the game down its very hard to pick back up if you have forgotten what your last objective was.. Then you end up wondering the map asking characters questions until you get an idea of whats going one.. Often I would wonder the map only to hit what seemed like hundreds of those stupid random encounters with monsters.. Sure it levels your characters up but I find the whole pause, click , pause fighting system boring.
I'll admit some of the mini games where rather entertaining.
I had a Rendition chip.. And other than vQuake and Tomb Raider there wasn't much it was good for. At the time the Voodoo chip set was soon much more powerful that quickly eclipsed the Rendition chip set and Rendition was quickly forgotten.
They innovated once then just tried to scale the same tech (adding ram or linking a bunch of chips together) to compete..
Nvidia introduced the GPU and introduced a whole new set of features for developers to play with.

Looks great.. but they don't have a trial version.. I would love to give there product a spin..
Open Office is Star Office without the support fonts and clipart... You get to see what your getting before you invest in those extra features.
Open Office seems to do an ok job on word Docs but has trouble with xls files and any scripts added to office files..
Gobe claimes you can save to MS formats but what level of support do they have for it??
If someone could release a product that opened and saved to MS file formats without flaw it wouldn't be so hard for companies to switch..
Face it MS protects is file format to keep users locked in.. if they made there format open then it would make it TOO easy for someone to jump in and compete..
Qwerty was make to be slow and the layout was also designed to reduce jams on the standard typerwriters of the time.
There is no way that the Dvorak will take any market share unless you can replace all the keyboards in schools with them because it is next to impossible to get adults who type quickly to change to something that will make them relearn typing just to be a little more efficient in the end..
True geeks need only apply.
True, but I like my browser FREE and without Ads..
IE still formats more webites correctly than any other browser.. Then again when the sites are buit using editors that have IE as thier built in viewer its not hard to see why..
If everyone coded HTML by had and to standards I think more people would use other browsers.. but for the sake of ease of use.. IE auto installs plugins as needed and is just fast to load. Thats all the typical user sees and cares about..
Now WE (slashdotters) know the differences and can download our own plugins.. but untill the WYSIWYG editors start using standards complient code instead of IE compatible code we will continue to see a large number of pages turned out that simply look good in IE and have BIG problems in almost every thing else.
Well its starts slow but once you find out about the clones and ignore the love story the last bit is not bad..
It still looks funny but I think its hard to avoide.. Yoda looks funny kicking ass.. If you sit and imagin what yoda would look like kicking ass before you see the movie its kinda hard to imagin without laughing..
Jar Jar speaks again but not for long, even the other characters cut him off at times.. And the new Anikin is flat but not anoying like EP1
On system is easy to fool but when you use more than one it becomes less likely.
Finger + Voice
or Even adding a retina scan
Then all you have to worry about are mature clones..;)
Or how about your finger and a pin number? then you don't need to carry a card and even if someone has a fake finger they need your current pin??
Hmm looks like the same thing they pull with ink jet printers.. Reduce the cost of the unit and increase the cost of the consumable..
The cost of games for these new systems are getting close to $100 CAN
True.. but the isn't Googles big ass cluster run on IDE?? When you spread things out in clusters your more limmited by your network than your HD throughput and access time..
In a single server setting with severial clients accessing the system at a time SCSI DOES perform far better..
Have you considered using Open Office for your documents??
It had AMAZING Import/Export options for MS Office formats. The best I have ever seen..
But it doesn't import DVI. Maybe you could suggest they make a filter for the project or maybe you could copy and past some how...

This sounds like the infinite monkeys on an infinite number of typewriters solution to the worlds problems.
