The way you're selling it is a little different though, because there's an iso version that people can burn to a cd-r. If they're wise and write the cd key on the cd-r (rather than, say, leaving it in their e-mail's inbox), then they'll still have access to the game when they change computers.
Would I buy an iso (or bin/cue) of a game online? You bet! I get linux distributions this way, there's no reason a game won't work as well.
Would I buy a game that I couldn't easily make a copy of from online? No way!
The article doesn't really say that Nintendo is dead, it just says that its next console will make or break it.
I came close to buying a gamecube, because it's actually a nice system and the price is right. But then I realized that the only games for the gamecube that I was interested in was the Zelda series and the Resident Evil series. So I think the article has a point about the need to expand their game selection a bit. So for me the decision is between the PS2 or X-Box, because their game selection appeals to me more.
If it's true that you have to be connected to the internet just to play in single player mode then that's just too much interference and I won't buy it.
It's starting to sound like Windows XP with it's activisation crap.
Well, apparently it's a move to stop porn and gambling sites from committing credit fraud. Mastercard's attempt is a bit ham-handed (the true sign of an upper management decision).
on a sidenote: I haven't been able to use paypal for years. I lost my password. They won't respond to my e-mails. C'est la vie.

the CIA filing room?
I thought the No Smoking sign was a nice touch.
Gosh, I hope they post about modems next ... I need help speeding up my 14.4 *cough*.
