  1. Look at the iTMS experience on Microsoft, OD2 Start European Music Service · · Score: 3, Informative

It has been a consistent part of the iTMS that about half of all songs sold are purchased as albums. You are not the only one who wants the whole artists experience. And for those who don't (or don't care), there is the a la carte option.

  2. The EU might make this difficult on Microsoft, OD2 Start European Music Service · · Score: 4, Informative

Considering that WMP 9 is the core of this service and is also (coincidentally) the focus of the recent EU complaint against monopolistic Microsoft, I see potential for the EU to cause this venture major problems.

  3. Three point singles pricing on Microsoft, OD2 Start European Music Service · · Score: 3, Interesting
From the BBC article:Many tunes are priced at 75p, with more popular songs at 99p and "gold" singles at 1.19.

Gold tracks are new singles, available as soon as they are sent to radio stations - up to six weeks before the CDs reach shops.

I guess the whole "one price for all singles, including pre-release and exclusives" was a bit too complicated for them to try and replicate.

It also gives you no opportunity to confront those who had scorned you back in grade school/high school/college/grad school/job/life and let loose with your well deserved "Who's a loser now, huh?"

Don't get me wrong. Sure Universe destroying has it's attractions. But all in all, I'll stick with world domination, thank you very much.

There are a number of people who would be deterred from making legitimate claims because of fear of being falsely accused of scamming, general anxiety, concern over non-relevant liability issues. Of course, this would benefit the bottom line of the insurance company who would claim to have "stopped fraud".

And of course, real scammers will easily get by this. And since like most "security" measures, it make them watchers complacent: "Nobody is getting past our lie detectors."

Most people would agree that the militia cannot be considered to be well regulated if it is not fully aware of the number and/or sort of arms that the component members have. And it also could not be considered to be well regulated if it did not have a full accounting of the training and capabilities of those constituent members. If it didn't know their names, locations, et. al. And since "well regulated" was the first major thing that the founding fathers threw into this Amendment, it's irksome that people gloss over it or abandon it wholesale because it doesn't fit in with their ultimate goal: no regulation.
