I do not read dozens of lists, and my primary sources are slashdot, cnn, lemonde and one or two others. If i had not seen the news on slashdot, i wouldn't be aware of it, until i eventualy ran mandrake update. Ok it seems like it is non-exploitable, but it should be known though.

Maybe you can think to it as a kind of darwinism. As you can see it in other competitions (for example E=M6 and which does not aim at combat), basicly you build a robot which applies one (or many) solution to a given problem. He has to adapt himself to the problem, and in fact, YOU have to do the adaptation, at least in his physical design. Then when you ar building the AI, you can have him adapt to different strategies. But you can really think that for the problem you are concerned, there is one or two "better" strategies, which will surely get better results. And i think it is true, even if i'd prefer seing clever, fun, unusual strategies get more success. The best wins and rules the world, isn't it this way for robots ? The best.

If the patient goes to that doctor, he has faith in his knowledge. If the doctor uses some device, he has faith in their performance. There is no way he could be forced to guess / know / evaluate the risks of using such device. I am pretty sure many manufacturers use EULA-type things, and that would not prevent them from producing quality products. What should the doctor do ? Use only his intuition, to cover his ass, because in any device lurks the possibility to see his patient die a horrible death ? Or use something he knows works well 99% or which is approved / used by others ?

The news speak 80% about death, war & violence. This means real violence. No one turns off the tv set, no one angers, because "hey, we've got to be aware of what happens !".

After that, the very same people are complaining about violence in video games. But they forget one thing : video games are not free, contrary to evening news.

The game must be bought, and to buy it you *should* have the age required on the box, which in some way ensures you are smart enough to understand this is fiction, that this is not the way things happen, that you are not to do the same things, that the game may be stupid...

If a 11 year old plays such games (too many to name them all), it is the parents responsability. If they allow it, then they can't complain. And if they then complain, aren't they ... stupid too ?
