With a DVR and 30 second skip programed into my Harmony 890, I don't watch any commercials during prerecorded programming. Now product placement is another matter...

TV is a dead business model, and they need to get on the bandwagon. Ever since I got Hulu on my Xbox, I've discovered how much I just don't care, and don't need, cable/satelite tv.

Does Hulu offer 5.1 Dolby Digital and 720p or better resolution with ZERO commercials and live sports? Once I can get that quickly and easily on the net without having to wait for someone to upload a torrent and then wait again for it to download AND live sports, I will be done with cable/satellite. But until that day I will bite the bullet and over pay because of the quality and convenience. I hate my cable company, but as a sports fan and an A/V nut, I'm stuck with them for now.

Around here we call them TYME machines. You should see the way people looked at me when I first went looking for a TYME machine outside of my home city. One of my friends asked me what year I was headed for.

TYME is a branded ATM, which I believe stands for Take Your Money Everywhere. Where I came from, the brand became synonymous with ATMs, like Kleenex is for facial tissue.

Ask someone where the nearest TYME machine is located, its a great conversation starter!

Its not a test nework, it is being offered to the entire state. The Isle of Man is a quasi-independant country. The market may be small but it is being offered, to use your word "commercially".

Actually the first 3G network was build on the Isle of Man in the UK by Manx Telecom, and that was over a year ago!!

You missed the point of my post. I was introduced to Apple first, but ended up hating Apple. I love PCs and have an unhealty addiction to them.

I don't know why I do. I shouldn't really. My first computer experiences were with Apple products. In grade school we had Apple IIe's. In middle school my first programming class was on an Apple IIe. Then in 7th grade my parents bought a PC and my love of computers was born. That first Windows box started an addiction that will never be cured. In High School we had PowerPCs and I hated my school for it. Somehow Apple's marketing stratagy to "get them while they are young" backfired. I loathed my school computers and sang the praises of my meek little 386. Anyone know why?
