    Damn. This is just another silly patent lawsuite. I can't agree more with what you said. There is always some money hungry and failing company that all of a sudden proclaims that some major patent violation has been made in a last ditch effort to save themselves. Cases like this really make me sick and tired of the patent system. The patent system was created to stir invention and creativity, not hamper it. Damn these greedy bastards. Damn them all.

    Last Sunday, if I saw the cpan.org recent news corrently, rc2 was out. Its looking to be released sooner than your probly think. And aside from your problems, I'm running loadbalanced apach2 with mod_perl2 and Mason without any issues at work.

    I'd be real interested to see actual reason and logic behind the php developers to suggest not using with apache2. Sounds petty. But then again I'm a perl developer and php is obsolete to me.

    I live in California and heard about this almost a week ago. Not only is this entire plan causing alot of fights between parties but it is finally putting some good ideas into the air. For the longest time it has almost been like governments have hushed ideas about open source and its uses. Finally we are at a point in society where it is a considerable and productive resource to be taken advantage of. I think if this portion of the plan goes through not only will it make california a bright example of how to make use to a low cost but highly effective alternative, but will reall help the governator's image. ~ Nick

    My company isn't that bad to work for... except for the traffic and distance. I think smaller companies are always best, you have better teamwork and the management seems to have a better grasp of whats going on.

    This has to be a joke of some kind. Not only is microsoft making a 'personal area network' out of your body, but they are patenting the idea. I just have a hard time understanding that they plan on having data actuall flow through us to and from the devices. Wtf happens if one gets a viri?

    Dude, he probly just forgot to unmute alsa or whatever deamon he was using. Most are muted by default and you have to manually unmute it to hear sound.

    We can only hope :) I'd sure love some of my games to work under wine alot better. Also some of the other random win32 programs that havn't been converted to *nix clones yet. I can just imagine running some of the cool and obscure win32 toys under wine or winex.

    If you want to play homeworld check out transgaming winex, http://www.transgaming.com. I believe its supported. I play diablo2 and warcraft 3 under mdk linux and they work better than they did on windows.

    Most of there income would probly be from club subscriptions and nice people. I'm a nice person i paid 60 bucks this year to be in there club to support them.

    I'm a geek of coffee, i work at starbucks. Try not to hold that against me while reading this post. We have certain regulars that come in and specifically order atkins style drinks and have been doing so exclusively for the past 6 months. I can easily say that the only constant is they fact that they have been gaining weight. This isn't just one or two, this is 14 off the top of my head. Maybe its just me but consuming lard doesn't seem like a healthy choice.
