Sure you can. All you need is a big store with a refund policy... I test-drive bits of Maplin kit all the time, they're quite happy to let you pay for a something and then return it later if you don't like it.

Same with catalog stores... think of them as public libraries for electronic kit!

Try a pen-tablet. They're only £30 and work great if you're looking for an alternative to the mouse.

You can draw with them, they're easy to use for windows and browsers, you _can_ click, right-click, right-click-drag or whatever, and you can get drivers for linux.

Why would you want a list of spyware apps? You just assume that anything to do with media, music, and video is spyware until you can prove otherwise (usually by reading the EULA in detail)

Download.com also started clearly warning people about spyware, and had even removed certain programs (see their software submission policy) so as not to scar their reputation by allowing programs such as this to be downloaded from their site.

So apart from making it a little harder to open their server, this also shows that this company is using software generously donated by the free software community.

You wouldn't fake an IP address because if you did, you wouldn't be able to hear anything!

And I'd say VoIP makes it harder to record phone conversations, because my standard phone-to-tape lead won't work, and I'd need either new software or an in-ear microphone to record it.

Of course, you could leave your dictating machine on the desk and use speakers, but it's hardly private.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a speaker/mic combo in a telephone-style package to use with this?

Is that not what PGPFone does?

I've not used PGPFone yet (got it installed but nobody to call) but that's supposed to do encrypted phone calls over the internet, using your normal headset, and without paying for phone calls, hardware, or software.

That also adds a secure connection ontop any normal phone conversation.
