X2's 64bit performance not so terrific. Also, it sounds like you're comparing installs on different regions of the hard drive -> of course one is going to load slower than the other.
You didn't mention what motherboard you have, which can be a big deal as to how an OS performs.
You might also want to check your drivers out. I have no issues copying/moving large files. It sounds like something that would be related to a drive controller, or possibly DMA has been disabled.
that 1GB is a myth. It's just precaching all sorts of things in case you use them so that they become available faster. Should your computer actually need to use the ram for something, Vista will dump out the precached parts to allow it.
I actually find the Xenon seems to be the better pick, if only for the unified shader architecture. There are a few 360/PS3 games where some of the shader detail was weaker on the PS3 and my guess is because the shader units are bottlenecked. With unified shaders, you'd always be able to use all your shaders all the time.
How big is Ratchet & Clank? Is it the 8 gigs that is Halo 2 or Fable that are available on XBL?
Flow is not very different from the free flash version, so why did it cost so much on PSN?
PixelJunk Monsters/Eden while charming, did not seem any better than [random flash game] that you can play on the web for free... On the PS3's browser even. Expecially monsters, that game is so dull one of the better strategies is to just stand in one place for most of the level.
Sony is losing the game, they need to get back on track and stop fooling around with "no price cuts!" and Home.
And your comment about 1080i graphics is hilarious. The Xbox1 was able to do 1080i. The 360 runs rings around 1080p, unlike the PS3 with its limited graphics memory and non-unified limited shader units.
The PS3 is a tangled mess. They rushed it to market and are paying for it.
MGS4 is third party and Konami pretty much took a dive because of it. You can find it in the cheap games bins in Japan. PSN has a large variety of games... like that shooter game, or that other shooter game... Warhawk, the shooter game.
You will likely never see a game on PS3 with a 400GB Blu-Ray disc, unless all that content is video. It has trouble enough reading the discs as they are that almost every game has mandatory installs.
You say Sony is catching up, yet November numbers show 360 sold 2x or more than PS3, and the Wii sold at an incredible >4x the PS3.
My guess is they just used the defalt bilinear filters on the hardware. 2xsupersai has a peticular look that I definitely didn't see on these sprites. There might be something about how the game works that made it hard to do this, or maybe they're just lazy about it. Hard to say without being the developer.
The project in question was probably for the game class, which lasts 3 months unless it was a double semester project in which case that becomes 6 months.
SDK's go through big changes only once every 4 years or so (sometimes less).
Most companies have an engine that will likely never change in large ways.
I agree. However, when I was there they considered us employees. The person in this article was not very bright either, we were told to leave our good ideas at home so that the school would not own them. DigiPen also publishes some of the games to show off the talent of the students who go there.
Part of the situation here is the game may have been made with hardware & software provided by the school. I went to this school also, one of the first things they tell you is to leave your good game ideas at home. The person in this article obviously didn't pay attention very well.
Power useage on a phone with push can be much lower. A 1 minute poll means your data connection is constantly active. Push means the message goes through the phone network and connects to you only when necessary. It's kind of like SMS, but instead it goes to your email.

MS has recognized the problem and report that all will be fine tomorrow after noon when the devices normally update their clock.
I bet Home falls under this patent as well. That'd sure put them in a sticky situation.
The Cell in the PS3 has 7 cores, 1 is reserved for the hypervisor. You get 6 cores.
The part that can run extra instructions on the GPU, doubling your available computing power.
It is "used", but free to anyone that needs it. Your later posts show you don't really want to understand and are just trolling.

It's not like you can just right click on the search icon and tell it to turn off..... o wait, u can.

What were sales like for MGS4 again? I think if you added up half of the games you listed you'd make up Halo 3's sales.

This list makes me lol hard, and it's from an AC too.

You can turn on the orignal sprites for the characters. They are incredibly blurry due to stretching.
Same frame counts. Changing those could have made rebalancing much harder.
I had the same timing as another poster. Incredibly longer in firefox than IE7.
You really have no idea how any of this works, do you?

Windows CE can run on Devices with 8MB of RAM and 100mhz CPU, you linux geeks still got a ways to catch up.
