    Your figures are way off. From the link:

    The country has a population of six million, but there are estimated to be at least two million publicly-owned firearms, including about 600,000 automatic rifles and 500,000 pistols.

    Those public owned guns are not spread across 2M people and do not resemble the amount of weapons in circulation because of the army. And there were 7.2M in 2001, so all the data is completely wrong.
