    Could you please point me to the click-n-drool option button in Windows2000 that allows me to enable command-line completion?

    I dont know about w2k, but winxp supports command-line completion out of the box. Just hit tab as you would on linux

    First people complain that a computer should make decisions for the user to keep the interface usable by newbies and stuff and then people complains that a computer should only do what the user tells it to.

    no i didn't, i just didn't have anything to say about it.

    We are just scared right now, we are in the process of counting signatures, we are supposed to have 3.6 million (2.4 are needed) and we are hearing rumors that more than 1 million signatures have been invalidated. The OAS and carter center did not have access to the whole process so jimmy carter had to come here and demand it, which he got, but still we are scared

    ...that if i would spend over 200 bucks to get a mp3 mplayer and have 2 choices, a 250$ one and a 300$ one with a big hard drive capacity difference, i would pay the higher one. The smaller size does not appeal to me, although i realize that some people will be interested in them because of dumb things like color (women)

    Do you watch DVD's with any program in linux?
    Then you use videolan technology, as they are the ones who developed libdvdcss.

    Do you use any gnome program that can work in any language? Probable you use pango too.

    Do you use mozilla or similar? Then you should now it is debugged with Valgrind

    When will people understand that TERA is BASE 10???

    There are units for binary you know... TiB and such... Learn to use them!

    The international system concluded in 1998 that mega,giga,kilo,tera,etc are base 10, therefore people that think that 1kb is 1024 bytes are wrong.

    So, there is no bytes lost to marketing. Learn to use MiB and other units properly

    The Gnonitron would require 100 dependencies like a specific table or electricity and weather . It would have an RJ-45 hole to plug in and connect via SSH to tweak its settings.

    Oh, and it would have a bad file^h^h^h^h channel selector

    The Krinitron would be pissed on by the Gnonitron guys because Krinitron requires a commercial license when windows users want to see and tape their TV shows

    where suddenly giga means billion bytes and not 2^30

    It's your fault you didn't read the box or have common sense. Giga is a unit of the International System and it uses base 10. Since 1998 they clarified this, and the giga you meant is labeled as GiB.

    The box said "giga means billion bytes"

    The roadmap has implied for some time that 1.4 was the last unified (XPFE) Mozilla-based release. 1.5-1.6 was supposed to be the Firebird transition period

    Forget about it, it's not happening any time soon, because their own developers are against the unification. Just ask them in irc.
