When was the last time Madonna or any of these other artists performed one of their whole works of art in a concert? It doesn't happen very often. If the whole album as a work of art concept were true more of these performers would play their albums in their entirety and in order in their concerts. Fans go to hear them perform their hits. If they just performed an album or two in its entirety there would not be time to perform all of their hits and fans would not go to the concerts.
Queensryche is the only pop/rock band I've seen that has performed and entire album (Operation Mindcrime) in their concert.
Junk faxes con not only waste resources with fax machines they can also waste your cellular air time and clog up your voice mail. I got several fax messages in my voice mail before. My phone only lets me know if I have messages. I don't know whether they are fax or voice until I call in to check. I had the message system send the messages to a fax machine and was able to get them stopped based on the info on the fax. Very infurating.
Also the First Amendment argument used by the business is weak. The First Amendment give you the right to say what you want. It does not grant you the right to force someone to listen to you nor does it obligate me to offer any support to you in exercising your free speech. These junk faxes force you to listen to their message. They can't be ignored as easily as the talking head on TV with whom you disagree. And they sure as hell require the recipient to assist the sender. My freedom to listen is also implicit in the first amendment. If I don't have the option to choose to listen to or ignore your speech your speech isn't free.
is a worthless pile of BS.It goes way beyond exempting surveys, charities, and politicians. There are 25 ways a business can ignore the DNC. Effectively there is a way out for about 99.999% of telemarketers. It would have been easier for them to list the type of businesses that have to pay attention to the list. That is if there is one.
So what he had a couple of PVRs that had annoying features such as running hot or being loud. That does not mean they all are or have to be that way. That does not mean the concept of a PVR is bad. It's a bit like saying personal computers are bad because Dell sold you one lemon. I have two ReplayTVs. They both run cool and quite. I have one in my bedroom. I'm a light sleeper and it does not bother me at all. I have a Tivo that is very loud though but that did not keep me from buying the ReplayTVs. I've had 3 digital cable boxes. They all run hot, much hotter than any of my PVRs. Does that mean digital calble is a bad service? In fact two of my digital cable boxes had to be replaced due to heat realated problems. These are the same boxes that will be used to deliver the services he describes. I guess because the hardware that's in my living room now has problems the services he wants to sell are no good. Come on the heat and noise issues are irrelevant. The PVRs compete with a potential source of revenue for the cable companies. The heat and noise issues have no relavance to who is controlling the time shifting.
UAH's campus is not really that great either. Its not as bad as UAB's though. I just can't imagine someone enjoying spending their college years hanging around downtown Birmingham. UAH is not a traditional college environment. Very few of the students live on or near campus. It has been jokingly called the University of Alabama at Home. A large percentage of the students are older people that work full time and go to school part time. Most of the others are locals that wanted to stay at home. I just would not recomend to someone just out of high school to move there to go to school.
As far as engineering programs both Auburn and UAH are pretty good. I would not really say one is better than the other. UAH's is a bit smaller though. But I guess I'm biased though since I do have degrees from both.
I agree. This really is not any different than other specializations. I do think it is a little overhyped. I guess if you don't suck up to people who give you $25e6, they'll be less likely to give you $ in the future.
I'm not too big on specialization anyways. At least at an undergraduate level. It's crutch that helps you get a job right off of the bat. I think in the long run the ability to think rationally and objectively are more important than any specific knowledge about some currently hot field. I do think good undergraduate engineering programs can help develop these skills though. I know several people that are doing pretty good in fields that weren't even their major much less any specialization.

Meteorite Hits Girl
·
· Score: 2, Informative
"In 1954, Mrs. Ann Hodges, who was napping on her couch, was awakened very suddenly when a meteorite penetrated her roof and struck her on the thigh. The Hodges or Sylacauga meteorite, which weighs 8.5 pounds and is 7 by 5 inches in diameter, can be viewed in replica form at the museum. The original is in the Alabama Museum of Natural History in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Sylacauga is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records since this is the only case of a meteorite hitting a living person."
Althoug she was not hit directly. The meteorite bounced of some other junk in her house before striking her.

Most porn is not region coded anyways.
