well, duh, it's called Apple "TV". If Apple wanted to guarantee HDTV resolution, they would have called it Apple HDTV.

you're not complaining that your TV can't show HD content at the source resolution, are you?

$10 a day? How many flights do they think people take in a day? I mean, i don't know what the current average flights per day for 1 person flying is, but i don't expect it to be higher than MAYBE 1.5.

How about $5 per flight? How about a checkbox on the reservation website to include it in the ticket price of each leg? How about the username/password sent to you with your confirmation/receipt?

Have you seen an office depot/best buy/circuit city flyer lately? They're the computers for 'most' people going-to-buy one. And that hardware is 'new' for 'most' people currently with computers.
Sorry, I really don't know how you define 'most people'. Maybe you mean most geeks. or most hardcore gamers. But i'm a big geek and i only have 512 of main ram and 8 of video ram.

  8. give an interface choice on Despite Aging Design, x86 Still in Charge · · Score: 1, Insightful

What MS needs to do is, on vista install, give users a choice of a theme, the normal vista one, or the XP one. Letting them start with the XP one will give them time to get used to the new features while in a familiar interface. Then when they're ready, they can make the theme switch to the default.
Sure, you can throw them in the deep end and hope they swim, but given the odds that they might drown and become an anti-MS advocate for the rest of their lives is a big gamble, when you can just ease them in right from the start.
I'm not say there isn't transition help out there, tutorials (online, built-in), books, but average users don't want to go through all that (even though they should).
