this is a little OT, but the Apple MPW compiler was the best for crazy help, notably the errors/warnings.
"Too many errors on one line (make fewer)" (this one is particularly helpful) "Symbol table full - fatal heap error; please go buy a RAM upgrade from your local Apple dealer" "...And the lord said, 'lo, there shall only be case or default labels inside a switch statement'"
look much blurrier, approaching the look of standard-definition broadcast TV.
well, duh, it's called Apple "TV". If Apple wanted to guarantee HDTV resolution, they would have called it Apple HDTV.
you're not complaining that your TV can't show HD content at the source resolution, are you?
yeah, the train goes so fast, that it only has to go halfway to the destination, stop dead, and then a tube inside the train slides out and the momentum sends them the rest of the way.
$10 a day? How many flights do they think people take in a day? I mean, i don't know what the current average flights per day for 1 person flying is, but i don't expect it to be higher than MAYBE 1.5.
How about $5 per flight? How about a checkbox on the reservation website to include it in the ticket price of each leg? How about the username/password sent to you with your confirmation/receipt?
oh please, 1GB main ram and 128MB video ram is not old! Have you seen an office depot/best buy/circuit city flyer lately? They're the computers for 'most' people going-to-buy one. And that hardware is 'new' for 'most' people currently with computers. Sorry, I really don't know how you define 'most people'. Maybe you mean most geeks. or most hardcore gamers. But i'm a big geek and i only have 512 of main ram and 8 of video ram.
What MS needs to do is, on vista install, give users a choice of a theme, the normal vista one, or the XP one. Letting them start with the XP one will give them time to get used to the new features while in a familiar interface. Then when they're ready, they can make the theme switch to the default. Sure, you can throw them in the deep end and hope they swim, but given the odds that they might drown and become an anti-MS advocate for the rest of their lives is a big gamble, when you can just ease them in right from the start. I'm not say there isn't transition help out there, tutorials (online, built-in), books, but average users don't want to go through all that (even though they should).
Perhaps the DVD player was IN the matrix, and so as to protect itself from being discovered by the humans, and giving them too much information, refused to play. Seems pretty logical to me.
uh, doesn't using Vista on a mac with Parallels Desktop violate the virtualization section of Vista's license? (barring Enterprise or Ultimate edition)
So, let's say someone pirates a copy of XP in the EU, uses IE to get on Ebay and sell a personal possession in which they make a profit. My interpretation is that the person can then be arrested because it's no longer non-profit. Am I wrong?
am i the only one that thinks they should just put an SDHC slot in the iPhone and be done with it? new ipod, widescreen, removable storage, with phone functionality, etc..

the answer is always 42 (*)

Tell that to the millions that buy stuff off TV infomercials :-)
