I hope its something like the DARE program when I was a kid. We had a cop that came in and talk about the drug related arrests and how people were messed up on drugs. I renember he told us this one time about this guy who took some drugs (cocane maybe?) and broke 2 pairs of handcuffs. His wrists were pretty messed up after that but man were we impressed!
You know what i'd really like is a metal controller with a peliter cooler on the bottom. At the very least when you "lose your cool" and your friend is sitting right next to you, you can do some real damage to your oponent with the heat sink.
The invasion is the election, the other invading country is the third party. The country would be very different if a third party was elected. I'm Ross Perot and I aprove this message.
I cant belive this is true, I mean no, I belive YOU. Thats just, beyond stupid. I bought my console with the assumption in mind if I really wanted to get serious with gaming I could plug in a mouse. this is... uncool.
Damn, best Idea from an AC ever. I'm using a microsoft ergonomic, and that wristpad has enough room to drill a hole and put a trackball in there... The hardest part would be finding some nice buttons to use for the mouse buttons. All in all, doesn't sound very hard. Super glue and duct tape, Ohhh yeaaaahh!
If you want to experiment go get a small trackball, superglue a joystick on it and turn the sensitivity up. You'll need to have another mouse hand to "align" it.
I think its possible, brackets being placed where they are right now its not very user friendly. Might even make it easier to keep variable names short.
Hah! I renember that, I was storming the office asking everyone how it could make sense. The mac guys showed me their keyboards and said "its the exact same size without the keypad".
1.Replace that joystick with a trackball. Maybe keep the joystick if you can fit it, dont fret if you dont.
2.Make a big version, if your going for a niche market, go for the niche consumer.
3.Get the hell off your high horse. Yea $100 sounds reasonable if you have seen the device in person, felt it, and felt confident you could control it. Frankly I would still wait 3 months for something so new and read alot of reviews. You expect me to spend $100 on a new joystick without even feeling it?
"I meam come on people, take a 5 minute break for gods' sake. Just get up and walk around or stretch. You don't need a $100 device to do it for you."
Last time I replied to something as silly as this statement I was told to have a nice day. So i'm just gonna let it go. BTW you dont NEED a keyboard anyways, windows comes with an on screen keyboard.
For those interested in this kind of wireless mesh for the home check out zensys. I dont have any links or handy info, I just know they work in the same way and are intended for home automation. Lightswitches, thermostats etc.
Neigh, In his example the CD's are not always examples of life but examples of planets or solar systems. Now we know alot about solar systems we havn't been to (we can do this by browsing the tracks on a CD without buying it). And we have this single solar combination that we made ourselfs. Scaled down I think the homebrew CD is a great analogy. With SETI we hear lots and lots of noise, just nothing with a good tune we like.
Of course it will remain open source so that those half-million developers can continue to contribute their time and genius to its success, but if those thousands of contributions lead to direct financial gain for companies whose coffers are already overflowing and are simultaneously using those contributions to manufacture software with price tags out of reach to anyone but corporations, is PHP still the language developers should be focusing on for use in the open-source community?
I feel soo bad. I have used open source at my work and I have received financial gain through salary and the occasional bonus. AYE HE SAID COFFERS! Obviously promoting piracy.
No kidding, now that firewalls are going to be enabled by default I think alot of the ISP's are basically just going to shut down with all that viral activity... missing... yea.
I was just thinking about this last week. I have absolutly no interest in doing AI for a multiplayer game. But what if left an api in place that gamers could create bots. As antisocial as the bots seem, with good balance they can still be cannon fodder for real players and maybe get more enjoyment out of smashing another players bot instead of "fighting the game".

Regardless of how late it is, you should have caught this one before you hit 'post'... or am I about to Have A Nice Day?
Almost as bad as people who reply to signatures.

doh, I thought that was a great idea, damn yea now I renember them.
I'm out.
This whole thing stinks, I belive now that this will only work for a fraction of the people who buy it. Which means it sucks by user standards.
My sig has already said it.
Prediction if you will. This sig is at least a week old.

ahem I was careful with my words "taking my hands off the keyboard to get to the mouse" is not the same as "type and move a mouse at the same time".

Wouldn't a keyboard and a mouse plugged into a console be enough proof?

I think we are stil SOL.
I bet you dont like mini laptop keyboards because you have big hands. Doesn't sound like they cater to us "big handers".
Would be nice, maybe they will make a bigger model cause I got a tablet PC screaming for a mobile keyboard.
If I can type 50 wpm without taking my hands off the keyboard to get to the mouse i'd be very very happy.

What does it matter?
