    They could but MS with the bulk of the browser market share and massive cash reserves is far more like to attract the 'You blacklisted us, we want $500 Million in damages' type of lawsuit where the plantiff is really aiming for an out of court settlement to go away. Moz are just not as financially sweet a target.

    Actually he mentions a banking whitelist which is not a bad idea at all and not impractical to implement. In fact I can imagine in the future the banks will request this themselves as their liability incurred for customers duped by phishing scams increases.

    overseas developers, often with considerably greater knowledge of these systems will be able to develop them
    I think thats the real issue here. The US military and defence industries (should really be called attack industries now) spend a fortune developing advanced weaponry and they are probably less than amused that a bunch of indian/chinese/durkastani developers have such detailed knowledge of their systems and potential weaknesses.

    Brilliant Republican politician and military strategist who overturned conventional military wisdom with his theory that countries could be stripped of despot leaders and converted to functional democracies in a matter of weeks with just 20-30000 troops. Almost achieved proof of theory in Iraq, is fairly sure proof will come with in Iran, or North Korea, or maybe Somalia. Likes to have the President over for dinner.

    Given that there were only a couple of hundred more subscribers after the article and the whole thing fell disasterously short of its target quota.

    While the project has its merits I wonder if the lack of interest shown by the public at large and quite importantly by the slashdot audience is an indicator of a project doomed to failure by apathy.

Enemies will initially be engaged with cutting criticism of their weigh/dress sense or design of thier formations and many soldiers will be just too emotionally distraught to engage the enemy unless they can take them dancing afterwards.

    You have the most naive understanding in the world if you think windows update only pushed out 3 million updates to the hundreds of millions of windows installs out there.
    Currently IE7 is currently a voluntary download and will be pushed out by windows update shortly.
