Eh no, this is an issue will allowing scripts run with unfettered access to the system. Made IE great for intranet applications but a security disaster on the web.
You seem to forget how IE lagged Netscape in times of yore. MS buckled down and built a better browser while Netscape got crappier by the day. Then there was one browser.
Why not believe them. The way people use web mail, certainly my usage has changed over the years. Do you seriously expect Yahoo to stick with what worked for most people in 1997?
And FYI Yahoo had email before Google was even a blip on the horizon for Altavista so it more like Google are trying to beat yahoo ay their own game. Either way I dont care, I win.
An F15 jet fighter is minaturized using alien technology at area 15 after the pilot has consumed large quantites of water and whatever medication is required. Pilot then flies micro jet into patients body, locates a vein, flies into it and ejects. Pilot then whips out his tool (not yet tested with female pilots) and urinates medication into patient. Pilot is then torn to pieces by patient's antibodies.
Its a clever system but is proving somewhat expensive in terms of planes and pilots.
Actually you may not have noticed this but most cinemas are hell bent on providing the best quality sound and picture they can so as to attract more people to go to the cinema. After all the invesment in theatres they are not going to shoot themselves in the head with low quality quality video.
Bandwidth and storage are not going to be an issue for these systems.
I just had a look at the screenshot for the 'easy to use' network config dialog. It lists nice clueless user friendly things like
eth0 running Ethernet adapter
lo running Loopback adapter
All of which is perfectly clear to the average end user so presumably this is why there is no help button. And they seem to have a problem spelling associated, there was no z in it last time I looked.
So after a very very brief look I dont see anything particularly user friendly but I do see sloppiness.
What they really need is to be approaching corporations and presenting a strong case why deploying OO will reduce costs and add value to their employees/customers/clients experience.
A project started in 1983 and only now starting to show any signs of deliverables! Just let it go. It might be a cool idea but it should be pretty obvious by now there is little or no intrest in it if 20 years of development have only gotten this far.
Actually by including tabbed browsing they are taking a leaf from Opera's book, same as Mozilla did. Credit where its due.

Well lets see, they are both involve a stick and a bat, are mind numbingly boring and only played by a handful of countries so they are actually pretty much the same thing.
Who cares. I love the irony of all the standards fanboys posting about how great standards are on a site that can't even spell standard and viewing said pearls of wisdom in a browser that may or may not render them correctly depending on some random quirk. Gotta love it.
As long as she is well fit and they include an explicit lesbian scene with catwoman which occupies say the middle third of the movie.

It was in Chapter 3, "Implementing Deployment, Operations, and Administration Strategies," that I was hoping to get some real nuggets of information. Alas, that wasn't forthcoming
What a surprise. I would have expected each of these substantial areas to have their own individual chapters on strategy.
We need to invade Canada.

Trying to make feature out of paying less to your direct competitor last year.

I will start buying music again when I can pay between 40 and 50 pence per track for a file without DRM. Until then, I'll steal.
Ah slashdot self indulgent quasi logic at its best.

Or how President Bush likes to refer to the citizens of Lichtenstein.
No, the big question is will they find intelligent life on Earth.

Great, then I will have to tell my boss I was missing for a couple of days because I thought I was on a bender.
Given that oil prices are going through the ceiling again. We must be close to the break even point for alternative fuels at this stage.

What about these imaginary holodecks in an imaginary show set in an imaginary future?
I don't usually wear a tinfoil hat, but 1984 seems to be approaching faster than I would like.
Dont know what you were doing during the last millennium but 1984 has been and gone for the rest of us.
