    I don't know if there is room for a sandbox only game. Compared to the standard leveller games that are EQ and WoW. The sims is a sandbox game and it sold amazingly well. Its online version did not. Can a mmo "the sims" work. I think so but you need to design a true sandbox game and not some weird hybrid. A true sandbox game is not about levelling up. This is hard as levelling is easy. Just ask the korean games. They can easily fit 250 levels into a game. It is no suprise SOE and Lucasarts want to go that rout. Just a pity for the sandbox people.

    One, there's no GTK involved, it's ALL QT. Second, the mouse works for pretty much everything, the cursor is just hidden, so it makes mouse usage pointless (but touch screen usage perfect).

    2) Look and see if they used 25cfm fans which you can easily upgrade to 33cfm ultraquiet fans for about 10 bucks (should draw the same voltage).

    Yes, because different users can have different profiles with different versions of cedega, for the best compatibility with any given game. With out this, all users get all or nothing. I like this system.

    Correction! They were using FreeBSD 5.3 in the beta, and are now using FreeBSD 4.11-RELEASE-p11 in the (now merged with beta) stable release. Man, I should be a slashdot editor for my professional fact checking.

    I can't wait for this to hit m0n0wall's stable release. 6.0's unstable branch was used on the beta for a while, but was then pulled. I need it for wireless so I can eliminate another embedded system, consolidating my network further. (and create a single point of failure ;)

    It's had video acceleration since the GF3. I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're talking about hardware encoding(VIVO since GF3 AFAIK)? Or video encoding on GPU(Never heard this, would like to see a link)?

    Either way, I hope they hurry. I spent $500 upgrading my PC mostly in anticipation this game.
