No, I don't like or use the word "Herstory". On the contrary, I think people who prefer the term "woman student" over "female student" would be the most likely to use "herstory". My understanding is that "female" is perceived to be derogatory to women, although I don't know why.

We have been fighting with this Daylight Saving Time issue on Windows for our application over the past couple weeks. We are now using the Dynamic Time Zones as outlined by Microsoft and it is working fine. It works for 2004 and forward, but isn't so good for historical data.

I've been trying to find a third-party solutions that has historical information and will nicely plug into our C#2.0/SQL Server 2005 application but I've come up blank. Lots of solutions for Linux and C++, but nothing much for C#. Our application is world-wide, so a north-america-only solution will not work.

If you have solved these issues in C# and/or SQL Server, can you please give me your suggestions.

I personally don't like the shoot-out in football or hockey. I would like them to just keep removing players from the field. So every 10 minutes you have one fewer players. I'm sure in football when it is 3 on 3, someone will score. In hockey, they might just have to pull both goaltenders after it becomes 2-on-2.

I don't see why we can't all use UTC. People in the southern hemisphere don't change months to match the seasons. January in Sydney is Summer, and January in London is Winter. No one is confused. If we were to follow timezone logic for months, then the southern hemisphere should offset their calendars by six months and January would be winter everywhere.

I know it will never happen, but after doing UTC and Daylight Saving Time conversions for the past 12 months at work, it would be SO much easier if everyone just used UTC.
