A backbone not owned by the phone companies would reduce prices. An alternative that that doesn't rely on the robberbaron phone and cable companies for the last mile(wimax?).

Something that allows for video like Iptv would be big.

It would be more disruptive than the current net because then you could attend classes from home.

This would be great for the economy too.

It is extrememly slow. Terrible for high usage websites.

Seems there are programmers who are in love with syntax and will trade speed for it. I would rather use CGI with C:Still the performance king,Java comes in 2nd and Perl 3rd.

"Methylene chloride, the propellant used in many aerosol products, is carcinogenic. Some products containing methylene chloride have been pulled from the market, but the carcinogen continues to be found in many consumer products such as spray paint and stripper.

Not a single cosmetic company warns consumers of the presence of carcinogens in its products - despite the fact that a number of common cosmetic ingredients are carcinogenic or carcinogenic precursors."

The Riaa still has the original copies.

I know I will lose this one with all the software people on slash.

But it's NOT theft in any conventional meaning and saying so is lying. Pure spin by the Riaa and software copyright holders.

We need freedom from A-hole gestapo groups controlling TV.

The cable networks shouldn't have been fined like Stern for some shows couple of years ago. One had zero nudity but it's message was something the PTC and gov(rightwing) didn't like.

We have a real problem with a lack freedom in our airwaves. Those airwaves belong to the public and not to the biggest radical political group.

Cable companies should should allow people to buy a descrambler for a one time fee to watch movies that are scrambled and uncensored that adults can enjoy if that is the real purpose of the PTC-to protect children(which I doubt by the way). I don't know why they wouldn't do this.
