What the EFF guy doesn't seem to grasp is that the entertainment cartels don't give a F*** whether artists eat or starve. They only care about their Jaguars, their vacation homes on tropical beaches, and their cocaine. They are leeches.
In the future, a new licensing model might help artists get compensated for their work, the very purpose of copyright, but first, we need to get the parasites out of the recording industry. To do that, we must boycott their products.
This film was in the public domain, and the edit of it was indeed produced by Dastar. They can put their names on it, but so can anyone. Disney takes fairy tales and legends from the public domain, and puts their names on them without giving credit to Hans Christain Anderson, The Brothers Grimm, or their other sources. How is this any different. The supreme court needs to tell fox F*** you, and the horse you rode in on, but they probably won't Fox is a corporate giant who can grease palms and get their way, just like Disney, and Dastar isn't.
Even if the economy weren't in the dumper, corporate America wouldn't bother with R&D, unless they had a government grant. All executives care about is robbing and looting companies to make themselves rich, and R&D cost a lot of money. Greed for greed's own sake has destroyed the US economy. What we are experiencing now could be the second great depression.
Gnutella has been as useless as the tits on a bull from the outset. People who are whining that you shouldn't "fix what ain't broke" don't get it that gnutella is badly broken. Gnutella2 can only be an improvement.
Now that the House and Senate are past the November elections, why don't they repeal the Patriot act, and scale back all the post 9/11 reactionary crap in the Homeland Security Act. Just establishing an oversight board isn't enough.
What to both Bushes, and Clinton have in common? All are members of The Brotherhood of Death, AKA The Skull and Bones Society. An evil secret society obsessed with power. All these Clinton vs. Bush flame wars are pointless. They are two sides of the same coin.
Do we need any further evidence that the recording industry are the real pirates? Don't buy CDs. Buying them doesn't support the artists. It only enriches the parasites exploiting them.
Lars Ulrich posts here, eh? Why don't they go after the producers of counterfeit CDs, and accept that file trading is promotion, like the radio? Whether you live in Australia, the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, or anywhere else, Don't buy CDs. Punish the record labels for harassing files traders, DRM, and price fixing by boycotting them.
It is doubtful that any action will be taken against these companies, ans the states just don't have the balls to take on big business, but at least Kansas rejected deregulation.
Deregulation is a license to rob and loot. You give the corporations such licenses, and they will use them just like Enron, Worldcom, Clear Channel, and the like.

That's some interesting stuff. They need to add a link to it on dontbuycds.org, and all the other anti RIAA sites, too.
The president of MTU should issue a statement asking all the students to join the consumer boycott of the recording industry in protest of the RIAA's latest stunt.
and the arabic word for struggle is jihad.
They aren't acting like idiots, they are idiots.
We can all stick it to the RIAA by not buying their products.
If anybody on earth actually had one one hundredth of one percent of that much money, they could hire hit men to rub out every member of the RIAA.
I don't know about humor, but for serious news, there is The Uncoveror. The article about the British Parliament's new crest was particularly informative.
Boycotts do work. Greedy robber barons don't get our money when we don't buy their products. Don't buy CDs. Let them gather dust on store shelves.
"Forget the muderers and rapists, they are no threat to society. We need to lock up file traders!" Who is this asshat? Boycott the recording industry.

More info on snake oil. It is real, and it works!
Now the CIO of Dell is one of the trolls.
Viva La France!

Here is a list of books you better never buy, or check out of a library. After all, you aren't a terrorist, are you?

Television watching you is what they introduced the V-chip for.
If they are going to allow this, why don't they just make Rupert Murdoch and FCC Commissioner?
A record label actually selling customers what they want! Maybe they should be exempt from the consumer boycott of the recording industry.
