I'm not a Facebook member. I never will be. Yet when I load pages from almost anywhere on the web I can detect background traffic to Facebook (unless I explicitly block traffic to Facebook in my HOSTS file). Facebook has absolutely no right to know what I'm doing on sites as diverse as my local TV station, Slashdot and Linux support sites, yet that traffic is considerable and can't help but affect my Internet performance. I bet they could have made Chrome work even faster if they blocked traffic to Facebook completely or at least gave users the option to not send information to Facebook.
I believe that is what most of the liberals think, including the person who the post was in response to. They reserve the terms bad journalism and fake news for whatever they don't like, and make excuses when the left leaning "journalists" are caught abusing their position.
Well, CNN reported results of a lot of polls before the election. If there was any truth to them and if the people polled were more fairly selected, then we wouldn't have had a bunch of fat crybaby women marching recently.
We don't want any jobs that will help Make America Great Again. We just wanna cry and moan about Trump being a fascist (whatever that is) and see our jobs continue to be exported. Quit trying to bring in more jobs, and give us our unemployment checks.
I love Google Voice. Lack of MMS was a real blessing. When some idiot decided that I needed to see 15 photos that he sent to ALL of his friends, my copy would go to my email account but not forward to my cell phone and start driving up costs. And when other idiots did a "Reply ALL" to try to send him their photos of their precious brats, they didn't add more costs to my cell plan either. I hope that I can disable MMS in the new system but I have low expectations.
Not too excited about the group chat either. The few times I wanted to do this there have been other good ways to accomplish it. Might come in handy at some point, but not a must have upgrade.
I don't see any change on the Google Voice website yet. That suits me fine.
I do miss the Google Talk IM app, I found it really useful and wish that they would give it back. When they start mucking with something as good as Google Voice they worry me.
I'm shocked. These people quit their real jobs, let Uber sell them the car that they supposedly needed, and now they are not getting rich driving other people around, even when they gouge with surge fares? Yea, lets blame America for that, not the stupidity of the people who did this. (Actually we might want to blame the education system that they went through that failed to teach them common sense, but really common sense isn't taught in any school system, much less ones that rely on lottery dollars for part of their funding.)
I'm going to go set up a GoFundMe page now for any of you bleeding heart liberals who want to help these idiots. As far as you know they might actually receive some of the money that you contribute.
They will be back at it next week, although it likely will take the FTC 7 years before they make any noise about it again. After all, if they announced that they had shut down these criminals every week and made them promise not to do it any more, people might eventually catch on that nothing was being accomplished.
And the criminals' punishment is that they had to agree omitting their crimes. And they did agree. And they are such honorable and decent people that they will agree to stop doing it the next time that they are caught too.
Clearly Zuckerberg has more right to this land that the native Hawaiians whose family have had rights to it for generations. After all, Zuckerberg is a Jew and in the book that the Jews wrote it clearly says that God will always side with the Jews over all others no matter what. This is called "The Covenant". Jews have a long history of taking the land that they want from other people who it belongs to. Not just the Palestine settlements where they kill the Palestinians who are living there and then "settle" the land, but even Israel itself back millennium ago when they murdered the Canaanites to take their land because "God gave it to the Jews" . Apparently this is how God works, he gives Jews something but he expects them to kill others including women and children to actually enforce his will.

When the piracy is against someone like Disney who swears that they will continue to buy as many lawmakers as it takes to subvert the public domain clause of the Constitution and have already done so, then I have to agree with the pirates. I also have a gripe with studios like Miramax who release lower than DVD quality on BlueRay and then try to sell the consumer a better quality release later (but continue to press and sell the poor quality BlueRay discs as well). See the Stargate BlueRay release as just one of many examples. Legally the pirates may have done something wrong, but morally the studios are the bigger pirates.
What a tragedy. We need more of the urban youths in these schools. So what if the squandered their public school education and came out illiterate ("I gonna play sportsball anyway"), we still need their diversity in our leading universities. Otherwise the students who do graduate will come out as bleeding heart liberals and think that the world needs to appease the urbanites every time they come up with an excuse to riot and loot. Exposure to these people in your classroom when you are trying to learn is good for society.
What? You think this is about sending a political message or some greedy cash grab by Apple? Well, as you say the dollar is doing very well. If it was just politics or a cash grab then Apple would not be cutting app store prices in the U.S. to reflect the growing value of the dollar.
I feel relief. I keep seeing stories that Al is going to be in control of our robots. Presumably this is Al Gore. I would much rather that our killer robot overlords be able to operate freely with no one in control of them than to be under the will of Al.
