For the time being IE7 is only avalaible in english.
Firefox 2.0 was avalaible in many languages on launch day.
I am sure it has helped Firefox numbers.
( As I my work implies testing of some webpages, I have installed FireFox 2.0, but I still use IE7 RC1 since the final release is still not avalaible in French ).

Just forgot a little thing of interest to slashdot readers : he is quite a geek, having worked for years for computer magazines, and having worked on some games.
The big problem with Orson Scott Card is that while is ideology is disgusting, he wrote some marvellous fiction. The Alvin Maker series is full of lovable, entertaining, soulful, compassionate characters... And he is a master of storytelling. I never understood how he could write so incredibly good books, being so incredibly prejudiced. You can find some of his bad non-fiction writing there : http://greensboro.rhinotimes.com/ or there : http://www.hatrack.com/. For his fiction, I don't have an online source, but you can always check your local library for the Alvin Maker series, or the Ender one, or for some of his short fiction.
In this day and age, the main problem with mac game ports is the lack of interoperability. Many PC games use DirectX for graphics and networking. Usually the companies doing the ports manage to bring the graphics to the mac but they stop and don't bring us the networking. Result : games like Age of King and I suppose Age of mythology now, which you could play on a LAN or on the Internet with Macs, or with PCs but not with both !
Porting games is good, but having them work well with their PC siblings is essential if the mac gaming market is to take off in any significant way. Online gaming, LANs are integral part of the gaming experience and Mac ports usually are severely lacking in this department.
As for the power of Mac graphic cards... You should take a look at the mainstream PCs being sold for the non-enthusiast crowd ( it means something like 99.99 % of the market ). These PCs are sold with the same graphic cards sold with Macs....
according to this : statistics in the 4th quarter of 2000, average monthly gross wages were 5279 EEK. At the current rate for the EEK this means a salary of about 338 ( about 384 $ )!!!!!! Internet access is Estonia not so cheap after all !
Name it after this Colbert then.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Baptiste_Colbert
No Firefox 3 for Mac Os X 10.2.8 -> I'll keep Firefox 2 on my old Mac....
just stop watching and buying DRMed content, should'nt be too hard since there is not much interesting content being produced.
