    A very basic AI project I prototyped the algos in JS using objects as hash tables crawled to a a halt (25 minutes compute), the same algo implemented in C++ using map/multimap used 1/100000 second for the same operation.

    Also, the major down point of JavaScript I found to hinder performance in ambitious projects, is memory management. In the cases where I need gigantic arrays, the performance slows down to a crawl as data grows. Anyone knowledgeable can bring some light about this aspect of asm.js?

    We let kids play ultra violent war simulation for hours and hours, but god forbid they get a glimpse of love and biology. Something is seriously wrong with this picture Mr Cameron, aside from applying technology to shape what is a social matter (mainly fear of educating properly our children).

    But its ability to selectively document or revise history is not something unique to NK.

    History is your friend. When NK was created, US still had segregation going on. Then selective neutering of population and general bio/chem/atomic weapon testing its and canada's citizens done in the name of NATIONAL SECURITY. To this day, we still have to get justice for these acts. We live in a cocoon, but we pissed off many people building our empire, everything have a price, someday.

    The OP is technically and historically relevant. just because something is banned in a localized region does not mean (anymore) that they are erased from history. Just like secret wars of the US are secrets only the its citizens, the truth exist somewhere out there.
