One thing that I've wondered is why can't the space shuttles be refit for moon missions? I know they are designed only for low orbit. Put extra fuel tanks in the cargo bay as well as several landers. With extra payload capacity of a shuttle and larger crew several places could be explored on the same mission.

Instead of putting it in to standard orbit around ether the Earth or the moon can we put it into a orbit where it orbits both? That way it could be used as a spaceship traveling between the earth and the moon. It could be refueled and resupplied as it pass around earth. It could then carry passengers to a moonbase or whatever is up there.

It would be nice to have some way to say only these programs can be in task tray or these icons on the desktop only.

Maybe better program control is the answer. I really hate having to go into Program Files and disable the permissions on NMindex and the other shit nero installs and runs as a service with out my permission. Maybe in the task manager have an option to kill a program and add it to a list that will never be allowed to run again.

I can't argue with on that. God, that was awful. Point to you and I concede. Nothing can ruin a good foreign film like shitty dubbing. Hell that is one of the main reasons I started watching my anime with the original sound track and using subs. I once read an interview with some of the voice actors and they where ask if they just made this shit up as they went along. The answer was yes. I have to admit that I think my Japanese as gotten pretty good because of it. I can't speak it but if I listen carefully I can understand most of it.

But I will stand by that if they had have done a real good english dub for Pan's then it would have done much better here in the States. But I will give you that it shouldn't be the first choice on the DVD.

Actually, asshole, I think you are in the minority. Now then, no where did I say adding subtitles to foreign films should be required? I just said in a visual movie like Pan Labyrinth they are distracting because you have to concentrate on them you may miss something important in the movie.

For the record I routinely watch anime with the Japanese sound track and english subs. But I think the distributor and the director where fools for not adding a english sound track to this movie, especially on the dvd. More people would have watched if they had. That is one thing the Anime people do correctly when they add a english track, no matter how they mangle it, and keep the Japanese track too.

And to clarify one more point. Pan's Labyrinth wasn't a kickass foreign film. It was a slightly interesting film at best. Personally I think it sucked but that is just my option. You are free to believe, no matter how incorrectly, in what ever fantasy you wish.

That is exactly right. People have forgotten what the First Amendment is for. We have taken to use the freedom of speech to protect ourselves while using such words as "nigger", "cracker", and "honky." We have taken it to mean protection for controversial and even hateful speech. While such speech is protected and should be that is not what the freedom of speech was for.

Freedom of speech was to protect people from punishment while speaking out against the government. This includes congresscritters right to speak out against what the government is doing. This TFA is nothing more than an attempt to get representatives to shut up and tow the party line.

Seriously, when an elected representative endorses or sponsors a law that is deemed unconstitutional that representative should face some sort of sanctions. No, we worried about our buildings being melted into heaps of slag by having 100 megaton H-bombs

No you didn't. There never was a 100 megaton H-bomb. The USSR designed one, Tzar I think, but it was more of a dick size experiment. The thing was the size of a locomotive. Way to big to be of any practical value. Hell, even they where afraid of the thing. When they tested it, they tested it at half yield, 52 Megatons.

Most US weapons where and remain in the 30-100+ KT range. The US does have some larger warheads in the megaton range but none above 10. Most of them, the B-83 I believe, 1.2 megatons. The Soviets did field more weapons in the megaton range than the US but most of those were under 5 MT.

The reason the US fields such smaller weapons that the USSR is accuracy. It has been said you can place a quarter in Red Square and the US could drop a warhead within 10 feet of it from anywhere in the world. Soviet weapons where not that accurate so the did use larger class warhead.

Once you get above a certain size nuclear weapons don't scale very well. While that 100 megaton weapon may look awesome on paper, truthfully it won't do much more damage than a 5 megaton hit. With that being said it makes more sense to blanket a area with several "small" nukes that hit with one big one. You would hit the target in a staggered overlapping pattern so that if one weapon failed its area would still be in the blast area of several others.

Don't ask me how I know all this.
