  1. Re:Can anybody help me fix my SuSE 9.1 sound probl on SUSE 9.1 FTP Version Available · · Score: 3, Informative

The sound failure is due to the kdemultimedia mixer app. So when you install "all KDE" you break the sound.

Suse have posted a fix on their support page ( search under sound). I'd say its a bit of a poor show, but otherwise it seems OK.

Its poor form that they havent fixed this yet in the updates!

I've played with this, but you are quite correct, it works well but kills the battery in no time flat! It also takes a long time to load up and play the file. Final verdict, cool but not yet useful. Brian P Casey

How exactly is a bug that can compleatly lock my machine "minor". The serious issue with the X bug is the ease with which it can be done. It is a five minute job write a web page with this attack built in, and the effects are major.

I know its fixable, and I know that GNU/Linux/XFree combination is usually very rebiable, but lets call a spade a spade here. This one is an absolute SCREAMER!

Yeah right, Tony. How about this: "For the purposes of preventing crime and nothing else " -- We don't give a $417 about "preventing disorder", whatever you take that to mean.

For disorder read :"Non Labour Government"

    This is Blunket again!

Also announced today: Segregation of the children of asylum seekers into dedicated schools. This is all going a long way to sowing the seeds of hate in this country.

I wrote to my MP , Don Foster, about earlier legislation to introduce ID cards, and I happen to know he read the letter. So do it.
