    Dunno...DRM failure was predicted many years before that (remember back when the DMCA was just a proposed bill?).

    When it was predicted isn't the important part...it is WHO did the predicting; the Palladium team.

    Not to mention, WoW and CoD were released long before that patent "Worlds" was filed.

    CoD (1st one) was 2003
    CoD4:MW was 2007
    MW2 was 2009
    etc

    WoW was 2004
    And yes, there have been expansion-packs and such since then.

    not a fan of activision/blizzard but I hope they win (and set some form of precedent) or something that leads to a decrease in patent-troll-ism

    dunno about this.
    I ran into an issue lately that only happens with OpenJDK (specifically OpenJDK's implementation of Java Webstart) which was only remedied by installing .....gawd...loathe to say it..."Oracle" Java and by removing OpenJDK.

    I have several of them (using DD-WRT and one I use to experiment with debwrt [derivative of openwrt]).
    And I just got another one during the Newegg Black Friday sale.

    I wish the Occupy group would add copyright fairuse reform to their agenda.
    Shoot...isn't fair-use mentioned in the depths of the Constitution anyways?
    In terms of fairuse, I'm in fair of a point-system like you have with drivers licenses; if you own the copyright and then abuse it with false takedowns or abusive takedowns of fairuse, you eventually forfeit that copyright and that copyright gets placed into the public domain.

    the irony is that the legit users have to resort to the pirated version to actually be able to play with less headaches or to be able to play at all.
    that's when you know DRM has epically failed

    don't forget to get rid of nouveau.
    I forget which repo had it but u should be able to install the nvidia drivers instead ("nvidia-current") or the ATI one.

    funny thing is that with nouveau, certain applications don't work right (they crash).
    For instance, anything that uses LWJGL such as MineCraft will crash once it tries to load the necessary libraries.
    Once I got rid of nouveau and installed the proper graphics drivers, it works like a charm.

    According to wiki, the minimum wage in pakistan is roughly ~US$ $82.4 per month. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimum_wage_law#Pakistan)
    To put that into perspective....between roughly 253 years to 485 years or if u use the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita, 250 years to 480 years.

    Pakistan's GNI is $1000 while the US is $46,360.
