    Back when I was a yout, I used a large box fan. It also helped because my dorm room was not air conditioned. ...And we LIKED it!

    I was under the impression MPG was not a major air quality factor ever since they invented the catalytic convertor. Am I mistaken?

    I'd be curious what smart meter provider they use. While there are some very sophisticated/expensive models, most of them only send very short data bursts every 15 or 30 minutes. Because of this, I suspect this article is just another consumer-paranoia attempt to blame smart meters for anything they can think of.

    Notice how all these people subscribed to this communal living willingly. I'm sure someone could argue that it's because they have been manipulated. Either way, it's completely opposite a government structured communism where you tax the wealthy to provide for the lazy/foolish.

    Nah. Some kid who tested 6 different denture adhesives in Coke will win because the judges actually understand WTF he did. At least that's how it worked at science fairs when I was in school.

    Seriously, the original poster needs to hire someone that is an industry expert in Utility Communications. Disclaimer: I work for this division, but we do this stuff every day and it's not the kind of thing you want to try doing on your own. In the worst instances, there are no second chances.

    It's called 3-Wire, single-phase. (They are the same phase, 0 degrees apart)
    In 3-phase the feeders are 120 degrees apart.

    I can couch for this. POTS ATT = $30 a month after all the "required" fees and taxes are added. Bare minimum, no long distance, no caller ID, local calling only, no options whatsoever.

    I tried to get "lifeline" because we use the phone so little, but it is not available in my area.
