I very much like the gnome 3 shell. When I run windows7 because of Autodesk Inventor I continue to press the os key. Which is the awsome feature of gnome 3, zoom out and you see all programs you are running. Why all you people are so negative, I dont get it.
It is time to make a global law. Every transaction should be subjected to a randomised delay between 1 and 2 seconds . Problem solved, smart people can start doing something useful again.
I stopped drinking coffee a few years ago and feel a lot better. It upsets my stomach. It made me a lot more tense. I tended to sleep badly. Waking up at 5am. Headaches during the day. Generally felt misserable. It took about 6 months to kick off. Coffee is an adiction. And a pretty bad one. I can not understand these studies, probably funded by the coffee makers. Because generally if you drink coffee you will feel awful.
It is easier to drag other people down than to do actual work. Within our company this is very obvious in our sales department. People are not focussed on winning. They are focussed on other people loosing.
My eyes popped out of my head. I'm sorry but these two companies have consistently had a target of 2min load times on all the computers I had the last 10 years. Fuck you for being shit programmers. I'm sorry but there is no other way to say this. Jesus.
The biggest mistake in reasoning with a lot of systems like this is that the cost of administrative infrastructure is greatly under estimated. Cost as in time. Asking for permission, reading a license contacting a lawyer about what the legal boundries are. Cost as in money. Productive people are instead bogged down in checking and gatekeeping. This loss is doubled, this person could have contributed but is now a burden on the system. Cost as in enjoyment. When working on something as soon as you have a negative balance in work completing the goal and red tape. People get demotivated. Work progress gets slowed or not compleded at all.
He glosses over in one sentence saying "a sufficiently nice license". This license and the administrative system it requires can never be good enough. This system would be huge, imagine the amount of paper work alone.
MS is trying to paint Linux in the low end corner. When in fact it is better at all functionality than anything MS can create. It will not work because the galaxy S II is already the most high end phone on the market. And it is running linux. They are too late. Imagine the next Samsung phone comming out next year. Microsoft will be way behind once again.
So you don't hire enough people to do the job. This to save money. Then you realize, you need some help. You hire a contractor to do the job for 4 times the money. I don't get it. If you don't work with consultants the smart people who like a challenge realize. Hay if I want to do the cool stuff, I need to be in government.
If we pay some smart people for some good books and take care of distribution our selves we would be much cheaper off en with a lot less restrictions. The knowledge is much more valuable if it is shared across as much people as possible. The digital information store seems too big a choke point if large scale distribution of information at low cost is so easily in reach. We need to break this last barrier.
And as our laws are based in spirit of Christian values I would like too reference Jesus feeding the 5000. The core principle I understand from this is that if you share the end result is a multiplication of what you put in. So to me we are all breaking the law in spirit with a lot of things we are doing, including this Amazon thing. We should freely share a all be ritcher people.
This confirms once again that Belgian are not very bright. There has to be a good joke in here some where. What does an American and a Belgian do to run a newspaper into the ground.
You can not do this. Every device has it's own use case. Does it have a keyboard or not. Can you rotate it. How many pixels. What is the screen width. Where is it used. This can completely change what you can do with the device. What Microsoft is stuggeling with is that it does not have de design knowledge and does not really try to understand on a deep level what a device and user experience is about. Although article seems rubbish. Not very well put together and has stupid line spacing.
Ok so what would you need to build to get around these guys. * Venues- Start a foundation to aquire some properties. You can become a member and donate money. Or a yearly subscription. With enough members you can buy a lot of property. Build a sound studio in a venue when possible. * Open source sound studio project. Start a project too build the ultimate sound studio with as much open source components as possible. Develop it further. * Wiki sound engineers. Assemble the knowledge and learning material too become a good sound engineer. * Music distribution - solved use the internet.
You can't build from this. Just build up the dislike. New products don't stand a chance. Now give me my N9 you damn Elop. I will write a check to Microsoft myself.
Yes, I feel like this for a while now. Waiting for the last drop to fall :).

Gnome 3, once you start hitting the os-button you will never go back. The shell is awsome :)

Now you can never unfriend anybody ever again unless you got in a serious argument with this person.
And how long are we going to use printers?. I have one at home, I never use it anymore. Seems like they should have invented this 10 years ago.
Awsome, Who cares about dark matter. NEGATIVE GRAVITY!!!! Imagine what you can do with that. No more rockets. Hello trips to the solar system.

Just require the roofing material to be white. In 20 years all roofs are white not expensive paints and education programs needed.

What self regulation does not work. This comes as a big surprise to me.
This kind of stuff keeps a lot of people from getting into business.

I think it should be possible. Lets do it.
