There's nothing stopping (well, over here in the UK there's not) anyone with an 8 hour day job getting a night / weekend job too. I nearly did exactly that the other day.
Laws like this suck. It all evens out in the end. If you're not happy about your overtime situation, consider changing your job. If you feel lucky to have a job at the moment, stop complaining.
In a situation like this, you'd probably find that the JAR was licensed under the LGPL, which works differently (I'll let you read it rather than try to explain it).
I've thought up this brilliant alternative to money. You'll get these sheets of paper that you can use instead of regular money. No information will be stored on it, so transactions will be completely private. For smaller amounts, little metal tokens could be used. They could be different shapes and colours to help tell them apart.
"the GPL is legally enforceable - something that has not occurred to date."
I remember reading an interview with Stallman where he made the interesting statement that the GPL has proven itself simply because nobody has even tried to argue against it in court.
(forgot to mention in my post that the essay is quite old now. Unfortunately, it's still relevant)

Shawn Hargreaves (of Allegro fame, and also my lead coder) has written an interesting essay on why open source is quite a poor development model for games.
Why didn't they mount it at head height so you can see it while standing upright?
It's spelt their, you inbred redneck.
I'm glad they ditched this. It's much better to stop it while there's still demand than for people to gradually get more and more sick of it.

We had a similar situation on our 4-CPU 100-user Sun. An email the next day explained that one of the CPUs was being hot swapped.
Pretty neat, don't you think?

Oh no, it took me ages to get X11 working, I don't want to do more!
Just my $0.02
Here's a great idea; why don't we first stop fucking our own planet over, and then think about heading to other worlds?
I misread that the first time ;)
What's going on?
Holy shit, this guy has his own blog and web site! That's amazing!
Wow, that guy called Linux changed his name to be just like that computer thing!
