... is that for the most part we have too much information in our heads, but no common sense to use it. This article does a wonderful job of illustrating, in a relitively reasonable manner, how we can do a lot of work traveling between planets without expending much energy!
BRAVO!!!
They have managed to move beyond their meager geekness and actually apply concepts that come from Lagrange, chaos theory, etc... and use them to better mankind and also explain previously unexplained phenomena.
I know way too many nerds who cannot do this for the life of them. They have lots of knowledge, but they are useless!!!
A bit of a rant... I know, but it's frustrating to read all the comments by idiots who can't even read the article before they reply...
When hitler was killing off Jews, did we stop and think, "hmmmm I wonder what ancient artifacts and priceless civilization I will be destroying by stopping this crazy man?".
Likewise Saddam is known for torturing his own people, and we shouldn't be quaking in our boots wondering what we MIGHT endanger in preventing the tirant
Hopefully he'll either disarm or go into exhile, but if not I say squash 'em
First: Microsoft is losing money on the X-Box hardware. Their whole business plan was to recoup losses on licensing fees from GAME DEVELOPERS.
Now: Microsoft buys a game developing company to soley make titles for their X-Box, Although they may recoup some losses by getting the whole proceeds from the purchase of the game, its simply going to be an internal money transfer, and not necessarily gaining them any money.
We all know Microsoft is out to get all the money it can. I just don't see how this is necessarily going imporve their X-Box Economic outlook.
AND, If they only sell the titles for X-Box thereby forcing others to by the X-Box they'll be ultimately losing more money on those X-Box sales...
I think you are mistaking audiophile for audio enthusiast. They are two different things! The question is not whether or not it is a good thing. It is simply that a true audiophile would not even use a lossy format like ogg or mp3 for their prefered medium of audio. Most true audiophiles won't even use CD's...
Now I understand that the term audiophile has been degraded by those who want to call themselves such. Honestly I can't even be placed in the audiophile camp. But let's not allow/. to degrade the term further by missuse!
Wait a minute, I thought audiophiles always wanted to improve sound, not deteriorate it! Maybe the coders, like me, like this stuff, but my audiophile side is not interested
Well this is a repeat of yesterdays story, but I hope that this catches on with hardware makers. My one reason for not buying a portable audio player yet is the the lack of support for other formats. I know there are a few companies currently releasing ogg players, but competition is needed.
In versions up to the present for the past few years they have compiled with gcc 2.96.x which if you read the docs on the gnu gcc web site specifically stated that it was developement and SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR PRODUCTION
Although this is better since 3.1 is not a developement build. It doesn't surprise me in the least.
Mandrake has done a great job of creating a nice looking interface, but I have refused to use them (or redhat) because of their compiler.

Europe survived, and so will Iraq
I just hate for the best movie ever to be misquoted...

Does this make sense?
I heard an interview with him once where he said that if he could use a computer he would probably use linux. Although no distribution was mentioned.

a simple query on google will show that it is a fax # just put in the phone number
Just my $.02
I would love some help in debugging C/C++ code.
But debugging pascal, they might as well have a dead man singing.
where does one get nice lean mutton?
