That they broke the law is the guess.
What looks like happened is they followed the law but because it would require that classified information be released to prove thier innocense the government wants to give them immunity.
That explaination looks to be the case because you have a whole lot of people who have seen the classified information wanting pushing for the immunity. You have people on both sides such as Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-West Virginia) head of the Senate Intelligence committee who activly pushing for the immunity. The biggest opponents of it are getting large kick backs from trial lawyers, who see this as a huge payout since the telecoms will not beable to defend themselves.
What both sides pushing for it thier is probably more to the story then was is being told in hate sites such as dailykos and huffingtonreport.
The reason that they are not on the perp-walk is because THEY DID NOTHING ILLEGAL; followed by President Bush has a history of keeping Congress informed of everything he is doing so if they arrest him they would have to arrest themselves. This has come up a few times when a Democrat says something never happened and the White House comes back and shows the papers of the people who signed in and there was that Democrat.
As for the reason the Democrat keep "rolling over" is simple, they realize the Republicans are correct and the only correct option is to approve what they brough forth and then they add addition spending for the item. side items and for thier own pork projects.
Try reading the whole thing where they mention that enough radioactive materials for a nuclear bomb were removed and that some chemical shells were found.
It does not take the large quantities and all the world's intelligences, excluding a few places like Cuba, said existed in order to make the original posters statement a lie. BTW read General Franks complete speech he was also talking about the large quantities that the intelligence agencies talked about.
The above definition of lie is the dictionary definition of "A falsehood uttered or acted for the purpose of deception; an intentional violation of truth" not the progressive definition of "Saying something based on the best information available which turns out to be wrong"
In the US it is an exception to the 4th admendment under the title of "border-search exception". Basiclly it allows custom officers to search people/property entering the country without a warrent. There is something like this in every country.
BTW UK has been doing electronic search and copying, only for a short time not practical, of devices since 1998. Don't know dates but other parts of Europe but they also do electronic search, got asked for laptop when recently going in and leaving Sweden.
It is just a sign of the end-times.
First Hillary saying she would gladly support Obama as the Democratic Party nominee. The only things missing are "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!"
Lets see it is a political story, on the negative side and does not mention the party the person is a member of.
Quick survey what party is Chris Dodds a member of?
And the ones who voted for this voted to give states and cities the right to seize and resell property for US citizens because the purchasers of the property would generate higher tax rates.
It is not hard to understand, the minority are strict Constitutionist and the only way the majority passed this ruling was by redefining the way that US territories was legally defined, creates new laws with no explanation and disregards old decisions starting with Johnson v. Eisentrager with no explaination.
Remember the ones who voted for this also believe that states and cities have the right to seize and resell property for US citizens because the purchasers of the property would generate higher tax rates.
Try getting your information from sources that don't say the US government was being the 9/11 attacks.
Sure the post had the basis of truth, however here are 3 of the many lies, do a little research to tear the rest apart.
1) He was stopped because of the name AND because the Macadonian border guards though the passport was a forgery. At one point the German government also said it was a forgery.
2) His hair only showed that he had malnutrision, something the US government admits because El-Masri took part in a mass hunger strike. During that strike they had to finally perform force-feeding to prevent death(part of what was has been classified as torture). Testing the hair cannot back up other parts of the story but it sure sounds scientific when making up a story.
3)Gerhard Lehmann works for the BKA not the BND. Also numerous people and documents prove that he was not in Afghanistan.
Wen Ho Lee would be a better example.
Do you actually think that Syria provides the US intel information and tortures people that the US tells them to?
The supply of oil is high while demand has been decreasing, higher prices mean less people are going to purchase it. However while that is going on the price of oil has been increasing. The people who actually use oil(refineries, etc) are not having a problem getting a supply they are just having to pay high prices because of the investment purchasing it. This all leads your typical bubble, ie housing, dotcoms, or tulip bulbs. Heck even the primary supporter of the US Democrat party, George Soros, has said it is a bubble.
While the weak dollar and uncertity about the future have also raised the price of oil they are not the biggest thing. That is speculation about future oil prices. What is happening is that large investment funds started pouring money into oil futures when the housing market collapsed. They are buying 5 year oil futures, and come the five years they are not going to take and use the oil they are going to sell it to someone else who will. This has lead to OPEC even talking about cutting some current production because thier is a lack of people taking actual delivery; this also what killed the push for the to US selling thier strategic reserves no one to take immediate delivery for usage.
A quick search of oil and bubble will find you many articles and charts about why it is a bubble, but that is not going to change your mind; after all if takes alot of people who know it is not a bubble to make a bubble happen.
Even if do quick glance to see who the message was from or what the first part of the message was you are interrupted.
However what happens most times is you get what seems to be a quick question, you answer then the person comes back a few mins later with a follow on, you answer, then they ask one more question. It would of been a whole lot better if the person had just called as the question and thier followup questions at one time.
Makes you wonder if this survey was asked by these people
Mod parent down!
Would not reply to this but some people though this was "insightful"???
A quick look at this bill shows that it only reason it got this was was that sponsorer was the progressive head of the committee and it was pushed by him and fellow Democrates approved it.
The executive branch has already come out against this.
BTW John Conyers Jr., the sponsoror of this bill, was voted the second most corrupt politian in DC by public interest group for the reason of
Conyers reportedly repeatedly violated the law and House ethics rules, forcing his staff to serve as his personal servants, babysitters, valets and campaign workers while on the government payroll. While the House Ethics Committee investigated these allegations in 2006, and substantiated a number of the accusations against Conyers, the committee blamed the staff and required additional administrative record-keeping and employee training.
.
He is also key spokesperson for Barack Obama and been put forth as a viable running mate in some mainstream progressive sites as dailykos.
First the current high price of oil is not cause by high demand it is being caused by speculation, there is plenty of a supply. Yes there has been an increase in demand because of China and India but thier need is not is causing the $4 a gallon gas. Until the bubble is burst then prices will just keep raising, just like what happening in the housing market. That the US is going to open up new drilling and production is a mighty sharp pin.
Also those number you gave are low, if you look into the number that the people who would be investing thier money and time they are higher. Part of the problem with ANWR is the lack of true numbers so you get low numbers and the usage of 40 year old technology from people against it and higher number from the people who would be investing thier monies; government numbers tend to give average.
The things that I really liked about it was the huge land, large amounts of dungeons and interesting treasure.
The place is zoneless, except when entering a dungeon and had no artifical borders(everything was a island and you could not swim in deep water, ok somewhat artifical) so if there was a mountain range off in the distance you could run and probably find a way to the top of those mountains. Far better then the current games with small areas high mountains on four sides.
The dungeons were great, when the game shipped it had close to 200 dungeon some good some bad, most had a theme to them. My favorite was a place call The Pit it was an inverted pryamid with with a spiral ramp running down the sides to the bottom as the went down the mobs got harder and then at the bottom was a harder mob with better treasure. Since the dungeon was open to all, no instances, you would have people fighting the smaller stuff and then when the big guy appeared people would make a mad rush and attempted to jump down and survive with enough strengh to survive the battle.
The treasure system was random so you could get a helm that was really good and be the envy of all or bad and worthwhile just to sell but it was all random so no camping a single mob to get the item you needed. Also armor types mattered, a set of plate armor provided great protection against an axe but if the mob was breathing electricity you better run since you were the same as no armor.
Also the battles were kind of unpredictable, with current MMORPGs you can pretty much tell if you are going to win or loose a few mins into the battle. With AC you could get potions to restore magic level and healing kits and other potions to restore health. So during a battle you could do some healing, but it made you more vulnerable during that time, which tended to draw out the battles for longer. Also there was stamina which could not be easly restored in battle and once you lost stamina you lost a good portion of defence and attack strength. So every battle were you were getting close to death came to should you risk healing, or running and if you ran did you have a high enough running skill(AC was skill based for everything) or depending on the mob could you advoid any distance attacks they did on you while you fled
Gas prices in the US will drop, the problem is we have a gas pricing bubble. There is plenty of the product available and you don't have the daily prices changes that are currently happening if it was just a supply/demand situation. Something needs to happen to break this bubble and until the US government decides to allow new drilling in thier country people are just going to keep speculating and the price will increase.
With oil being priced in US Dollars the only thing saving Europe at this time is the weak dollar, if the dollar was at the strength it was a few years ago then prices would be even worse.
Just be glad you are not in Sweden, it is even higher.
Just because it doesn't mention a specific product does not mean it is not an ad.
The first portion explains the problem and then mentions that you should purchase a seperate mouse and keyboard for your notebook users. A nice push into a market where Microsoft is loosing sales since the mouse/keyboard come built in.
The next part then pushes reasons to get an ergomonic mouse and keyboard.
The final part talks about the products, has a mention by a Doctor why you need one, then tell you to go get your boss to purchase one for you and gives a financial point to bring up. It follows with a cute/humorous little item.
If that does not qualify as an ad then what does, it basicly a radio commercial in print.
Correct. Here is the original article from Microsoft, most of it is an ad for thier products.
One thing to note, Microsoft did not release this as a press release it is just part of the normal "Here is a way Microsoft can help you" marketing.
So anti-matter falls up in gravity field and Guiness bubbles sink in a gravity field what happens when you mix the two?
But how does this help explain why our area of space has so little anti-matter? If this was true then it would mean we are at the bottom of the universe, as opposed to what; or is the current thinking that anti-matter is not effected by gravity and this experiment would provide that it is?
It is not saved because it is old, there are plenty of other towers in Italy as old and without the restoration. It is being saved because Pisa gets alot of money from tourists and without the famous tower no-one would stop in the town.
It costs around $30+US to climb the tower and see other other buildings and they are just not worth it.
Yea but can you still see your gardening equipment from there?
That they broke the law is the guess.

Most polls said people expected that we would find WMD and WMDs were found.

Here is an article that talks about Vit D malnutrian in Australia.
They and New Zealand do not fortify milk, butter, etc.
Sept 11 was handled by Joe Allbaugh, nor did Witt handle the world trade center bombing.
