Everyone. Everyone has that one area of passion in which they excel and have a knowledge of minutae. Be it Red Sox stats dating to 1903, the best ways to obtain and smoke drugs, or how to make a rocket- everyone is a Geek in one way shape or form. Now we're just finally realizing it.
After all, how different is dressing up for a Star Trek Convention and a Football game? Not much...
The competing Fake ID(tm) Act having been in full swing for several decades, released a statement syaing in part, "As long as there are teenagers, spring break, and alcohol, our business will continue to boom."
Deus ex machina is greek for God from machine. It was a used in Greek plays when the characters got themselves into a hopeless bind. A machine would lower a God to the stage who would fix everything. Words placed strategically together often have connotations that a mere comingling of their definitions does not.
If you think those are bad, you should see what Empress Jenna I has in store for us in 2034. Man oh how you will WISH that that meteroite in 20229 just toasted us;-)
And that's the rub. A good attorney can make a meritless case look like one with merits- agreta attorney can then go on to win. I've seen it, too. It won't happen in this case, but as long as SCO can maintain a veil of reasonable merits, the case will continue.
They may have blocked wikipedia, but they still have the uncyclopedia as a backup, so they should be good to go on their research- especially considering today's WotD;-)
Just to add some weight to the equation, 100,000 pages of paper (a pallet) weighs roughly a ton (all those years at Xerox were good for something;-). So your "back-up" would weigh in at right around 3,500 pounds, or the weight of a Run of the Mill Sedan (RMS). As we all know, RMS is also the abbreviation commonly used when prolestizing about Gnu. Gnu is an anagram for "Gun."
So, the moral of the story- it'll take a ton of work, but it's worth a shot.
A theme done well by Calvin & Hobbes. Instead of his clones doing his work they all get into trouble and don't care about the consequences since he's the one getting punished;-)
Thanks Taco for talking to us about this. The more you open the door on to how things work, the less the consipiracy nuts will have to go on. Thank you!
Who thinks of the Laker's power forward Kurt Rambis of their 80's team whenever a Rambus article appears? Granted they're spelled differently, but my brain doesn't seem to care...
Since they haven't quite finished Duke Nukem Forever, instead of shipping the full version, they'll be providing a 2d Flash version- because it was just too good not to ship.
IANAL, but have been paralegalling for a few years now. Ex parte is the term used when one side in a case speaks with the Judge without the other side being privy to what is said.
If he can get this tossed it would be a pretty big blow to the RIAA's case.

Look for a new round of e-mail and web hoaxes regarding plane crashes once this plan gets off the ground.

You ever try to get live pig parts into a can that small? I think not.

I try not to eat pigs either. Now pork on the other hand...
Just doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? Of course St. Patrick's Day breakfast could get a bit easier tho'...
Busted! You talk while you type. I always fumble that expression the same way when I try to say it, too;-)
That would depend on the prenup and life insurance policies;-)

Since that's what they use it for, a la Edwards, I'd say counting it is pretty appropriate. Why pave something that's aolready perfect?

Surely typing 1-2-3-4-5 can't take that long?

"Could you at least bend them a bit then?"

Didn't the first humans migrate from Mars on asteroids? Or was it DC-8's? Whichever one wasn't on SOuth Park.
