So does anyone know why Soul Calibre III was released solely on PS2 when, of all the platfoms, it sold, by far, the least of the Soul Calibre titles? Does that strike anyone else as counter-productive?
Alas no. I remember hearing it in college (ten years ago) but exactly where, when, and from whom I heard it have long since been dropped out of my memory banks:-(
A favorite quote, "Physicists see equations as a reflection of reality, Engineers see reality as a reflection of equations; Mathematicians have never made the connection."
It needs to be taken care of, so it might as well be right off the bat...
"Dad, dad! That lady has almost no clothes on!"
"She's what's called a 'Booth Babe,' son. We'll talk more about her in a few years."
"Can't we talk about her now?"
"No."
"But..."
"No."
"I j-"
"No. Not for at least four years. Oh look City of Villains. Wanna play?"
Personally, I get a bit worried when a rallying cry from Slashdot is picked up by the Mainstream Media. I just don't trust them to get the actual issues right. Then they fight for the wrong thing and, since they were "victorious," immediately drop all further coverage. And your window of change is out the door faster than a shyster's C&D.
Rather ironic for me, as I lived in Fremont twice as well;-) As long as MS doesn't take the same year and a half detour to Milpitas that I did, they'll be fine.
The executives making the decisions don't understand the technology and have fortunes built upon the success of Brittney Spears. They are trapped by their own business models and the only way out is something not only new and unproven but something that they can't wrap their brains around. Net result: fear. Fear of failure, destitution, and the loss of everything they have gained on the work of others. Fear.
That's why you tell your boss that the Blackberry 5-Alarm Virus is loose, and if he sends more than five e-mails from his blackberry a day, it'll erase his inbox;-)
So... Since Guido got an offer and Larry Wall didn't, does that mean that Google has tipped its hand in the debate?
But is it still legal when the steps are combined? It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Duh. Thanks;-)

Now I can reject my own scripts for a change!
Hitting your head against a brick wall hurts. -- Captain Obvious
Exactly. I think there will be a much larger market for these than people suspect. It'll probably be the first laptop sold at REI.
Podcasting was bad enough, maybe not as bad as blog, blogger, and blogging, but annoying nonetheless. Podjacking now? Gah.
Next comes painting a swirl pattern on the platter with magnetic ink so it looks pretty when it spins.

Without reading TFA, I'd guess that the patent is not on the virus itself but on the large scale production and use of it in a clinical manner.
When "Elite" and "Blogger" are used in the same sentence, you know we are in more trouble than any of us want to believe.

Any industry tied to a technology lends itself to obsolecence. Why should printing be different?

Me. But if you knew me, you wouldn't trust me either.

It is a dark and stormy night. You are likely to be eaten by a wet Grue.
