While the S&P 500 and Dow 30 are each up 20% and 10% over the last year, DHX is down close to 30%. I wonder if the stock analysts who cover DHX even know what is happening to this newly acquired "asset". I wonder how many DHX shareholders know.
If the decision makers at Dice won't listen to the nerds, maybe they will listen to their shareholders.
The trend of declining oil consumption should continue due to factors such as:
- continued underemployment - aging population - urbanization - improved vehicle fuel efficiency
Also, Iran knows that if Republicans come back to power, Israel will be able to dupe the US into attacking Iran. It is prudent for Iran to negotiate a deal with an administration that is capable of negotiating (and isn't Israel's puppet).
Much of humanity sees the Google home page on a daily basis. Google can easily get the masses to take interest if they wanted to. How about a Big Brother doodle (the 'O's in 'GOOGLE can be similar to xeyes which continously track mouse movement) that, when clicked, dumps all info known to Google about the user. The sheeple will take notice when they see their IP, geo location, email addresses, FB pages, browsing history, name, phone numbers, contacts, installed apps etc... displayed on the screen. Let the visitors know that mobile phones are necessarily tracked, and that the NSA keeps a record of all their electronic communications.
Problem is that Google, itself, needs to wittle away our rights to privacy to compete with the likes of FaceBook.
We are talking about Israel. For them, maybe killing one's money is tantamount to terrorism ala killing a Christian's child. We don't all think a like you know....
Are you prepared to work on a team that is predominantly non-white? Report to a team lead/manager who is of Chinese or Indian decent?
Australia has a rep for being quite intolerant of non-whites, so you may be in for quite a shock:)
Why not throw a few pennies at Yahoo! to help it with its top-line growth. Go to Yahoo and search for something like Enzyte or Verizon. Then click on a few ads.
You'll feel better having transferred some money from slimy companies to Yahoo so that it can fight off Microsoft.
Israel's war against the Islamic world will not be inherited by India. Indian media is not controlled by Jewish poeple.
A very large percentage of the Indian population is Muslim. The Pakistan/India skirmishes are about Kashmir -- not religious intolerance.
Anti-Terrorism (anti-Muslim rhetoric) is the new American religion.
Watching CNN, you'd think that Ramon' death was a greater loss than that of the other 6. Too much airtime is being dedicated to Ramon and the Israeli reaction to his loss. I don't care about Palestinian reaction either.
To me, Dr. Chawla's story is more interesting. An Indian born female who migrated to the US, obtained a PHD in engineering, and finally became an astronaut is an inspirational story. Especially when you consider that an Indian born male (to my knowledge) has never been in space.
And what about the other non-ethnic Americans who were lost? Nobody willing to come on TV and state how remarkable they were?
Recyclable vehicle research is a waste of r&d money. Auto makers should be concentrating on fuel efficiency and/or alternate fuels like hydrogen and methane.
Hydrogen vehicles are already proving to have good range and power. They're just too darn expensive and a hydrogen infrastructure does not exist.
Too much blood has already been spilled for oil.
Instead of dropping million dollar "smart" bombs on Iraq we should be investing that money in zero-emission or low-emission vehicles running on renewal energy sources.
We need to lobby our governments to promote alternate fuels and also show auto manufacturers that there is an interest in such vehicles. Simply attending demos of such vehicles would go a long way in this cause.
The "managers" at Dice are not only ruining Slashdot, they can't even run their legacy business. Look at Dice Holdings stock performance:

Increased supply is only part of the equation.

Seems to take a long time while displaying the following on the status bar:

1. Connecting to
2. Waiting for
Page rendering, itself, does seem to be quicker than 2.0 though.
IE 6.0 on the same machine is significantly faster downloading web pages. Neither browser is using a proxy either.
Not very impressed yet... I guess I'll have to try an uninstall and clean re-install.

"Bang Le Desh" is what an Indian dude does when his car radio starts conking out.
Ballard Power's PEM fuel cells DO use platinum but the amount of platinum required is decreasing with every new version of their cell.
78 mpg on diesel or bio-diesel. Not very stylish, but built on proven technology. Diesel is avail everywhere.

The weapons will be required to quell the aboriginals in North America when India decides to "settle" this vastly unpopulated continent.
Got to put the "teeming masses" somewhere.
Seems to me that just about every movie/series coming out of England has male nudity but negligible female nudity. Why is this?
Do you Europeaans prefer looking at naked men or do the actresses refuse to disrobe?

Oh wait, thats how it was before I got the TIVO.
